Send Quick Tasks

You can send referrals to other staff members for any further action by using Quick Task.

You can set up Quick Task recipients to automatically send orders as they are being placed in run-time on the Practice Configuration practice template. If you do not configure task recipients in the practice template, you can use Quick Task to open the Quick Task Setup template.

  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
  2. Open the Intake or SOAP template.
  3. Expand the Orders or Assessment/ Plan section.
  4. To send tasks to other staff members for any further action, select Quick Task.
    One of the following occurs:
    • If the task is configured on the Quick Task Setup template, the task is sent to the configured recipient, and a confirmation message appears.
    • If you select the Allow Override checkbox while configuring the task on the Quick Task Setup template, the Quick Task Priority template opens.
  5. On the Quick Task Priority template, select the priority of the task, and then select Save & Send.
    A confirmation message appears indicating the task is sent.
  6. To open the Quick Task Setup template at any time and to set up a new quick tasking action, you can use the setting icon.
