Reason for Visit

You can document the reason for visit as described by the patient on the Reason for Visit panel. In NextGen® Ophthalmic Suite, the retina reason for visit opens the Retina History of Present Illness - OPH template. All other reasons for visit open the Generic HPI - OPH template. Once opened, you can document multiple reasons for visits on the Generic HPI - OPH template. The Diagnostics button opens the Historical Diagnostic Tests - OPH template, where you can review historical diagnostic tests and add them to the HPI grid. You can configure the Reason for Visit panel on the Framework Content system template. Document Review of Systems Findings

The ROS Defaults field at the top of the Review of Systems panel opens a list of options to load normal values into the grid. You can document findings after reviewing a list of systems. In the Review of Systems panel, select ROS - OPH from the left pane. The ROS - OPH template opens. To indicate that every symptom in a given system is negative, select the All negative check box for that system. Select the Neg or Pos options for the applicable systems. To document normal values in all the system sections, in the ROS Defaults field, select the appropriate default template set from the list. Normal values appear in template fields to enable you to chart by exception. To document system-specific ROS, click a system link in the left pane and do the following: Select the Neg or Pos options for the applicable systems. Click Save & Close. Click Save & Close. The Review of Systems panel enables you to document the findings for a patient after reviewing a list of systems. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake - Cardiology template. Click the Review of Systems panel. Review of Systems On the left pane, do one of the following: To document ROS individually, click the required ROS system. To do a quick ROS, click Quick ROS. Review of the Patient's Systems

The Review of Systems panel displays the documented findings of a patient. Review of Systems Using the Quick Load button, you can select the desired, default set to apply to the Review of Systems (ROS) findings. For more information on Quick Load functionality, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Getting Started User Guide forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. The documented ROS findings appear in rows in the Review of Systems grid with the system name, positive or negative indication, and the findings. You can click any row containing the symptoms to edit the review of systems findings. You can document the findings of a patient's review of systems for multiple systems using a single template or a single system. Before you begin The One Page ROS option opens a gender-specific or gender-neutral Review of Systems (ROS) template based on the configuration of the Review of Systems section on the Framework Content system template. The Select other ROS option displays the practice's systems configured on the Framework Content system template. You can configure the gender-neutral Reproductive ROS template based on the configuration of the SOGI/Transgender section on the Practice Configuration template. Pediatric Review of Systems

You can document the findings for a patient after reviewing a list of systems on the Review of Systems panel on the Intake template. You can click the required system in the left pane, and document the details in the respective ROS template. Note: The Pediatric ROS link enables you to document symptoms for multiple systems on a single Pediatric - ROS template. Review of Systems The documented ROS findings appear in rows in the Review of Systems panel with the system name, positive or negative symptom indication, and the findings. You can modify the review of systems findings. The Developmental History button enables you to open the Child Dev.Rec template to document the developmental details of the patient.
