Document General Information

After reviewing the available patient details on the Home Page template, you can document the general information of a patient in the General panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake - Cardiology template. Click the General panel. Select the patient. If someone else is providing the patient details, select the relationship of the person with the patient in the Historian field. To capture the summary of care record information for a patient, click Transitioning into Care, and fill the information in the resulting window.For more information about Transitioning into Care, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Getting Started User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. To show the HCC links, badges, and grid columns on the templates, select Enable HCC for this patient. To indicate the disability, select Disability. Document Pain Assessment and Plan of Care

You can document the pain assessment details and follow-up plan of care. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake template. Expand the Vital Signs panel, and then select the Health Promotion Plan link.The Health Promotion Plan template opens. Expand the Pain Management panel. Note: The Pain level and Method fields display the details entered on the Vital Signs template. You cannot update the pain level and method in the Pain Management panel. Pain Management - Health Promotion Plan To manage exceptions and view measure details on the Exceptions/Measures template, select Exceptions. If details are not entered in the Pain level section on the Vital Signs template, select the following fields, and select the appropriate option in the list. Pain level Method Duration Quality To indicate to see the HPI details, select the See HPI checkbox. Enter the location of the pain of the patient. Review of Systems

You can document review of system findings in the Review of Systems panel. review of systems panel On the Review of Systems panel, the ROS – OPH link opens the specialty-specific one-page ROS - OPH template, which provides a single place to document ROS findings. The system links in the left pane open individual system ROS templates. Documented review of system findings appear in the Review of Systems panel. You can configure the Review of Systems panel on the Framework Content system template. Review of the Patient's Systems

You can document the findings for a patient after reviewing their systems. The Review of Systems panel displays the documented findings of a patient. Review of Systems Using the Quick Load button, you can select the required default set to apply to the Review of Systems (ROS) findings. For more information on Quick Load functionality, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Getting Started User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. The documented ROS findings appear in rows in the Review of Systems grid with the system name, positive or negative indication, and the findings. You can select any row containing the symptoms to edit the review of systems findings. Document the Review of Systems

You can document the findings of a patient's review of systems for multiple systems using a single template or a single system. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Intake template, in the Review of Systems panel, select ROS - Allergy/Immunology from the left pane. The ROS - Allergy/Immunology template opens. ROS - Allergy/Immunology Select the Pos or Neg option for each symptom reported by the patient. To enter other associated symptoms, select the Pos option for Other, and then select a symptom from the list.
