Document Health Promotion Plans

You can document the Health Promotion Plans such as BMI plan, depression plan, and hypertension plan of a patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake template. Expand the Vital Signs panel and then select the Health Promotion Plan link.The Health Promotion Plan template opens. Expand the Health Promotion Plan panel. Add a diagnosis. Select Plan and select a plan from the list.Based on the selected plan, the different sets of fields appear. To add the plan details, do the following: For BMI Plan, add the diet, physical activity, and referrals details. For Depression Plan, dd the follow-up and referrals details. For Hypertension Plan, add the diet, physical activity, referrals, and lifestyle details. Note: To turn on the Referrals section and order a referral, you must add a diagnosis. Manage Health Promotion Plans

You can update and delete the Health Promotion Plans of a patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake template. Expand the Vital Signs panel, and then select the Health Promotion Plan link.The Health Promotion Plan template opens. Expand the Health Promotion Plan panel. Select a plan in the Additional Plans or Today's Health Promotion Plan Order's grid. Note: The Additional Plans grid displays the plans that are documented without a diagnosis. The Today's Health Promotion Plan Order's grid displays the plans that are documented with a diagnosis. To update the plan, make the required changes, and then select Update. Set Up Template Preferences

You can configure the default and preferred templates to automatically open the templates for an encounter. You can also configure the workflow after opening an encounter from the Workflow Appointment list. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select Tools > Preferences.The Preferences window opens. Preferences window Select the Templates tab. To move a commonly used template in the preferred list, select the template in the Available Templates list and then select the right arrow.The selected template appears in the Preferred Templates list. To select all templates, select the double-right arrow. To set a default template, from the Default Template list, select a template. Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends setting the Home Page (fts_home_page) template as a default template which provides a clinical summary of the patient to the provider. Open the Quick Task Setup

You can create a task using Quick Tasks. You can configure the recipients for your orders or tasks using the Practice Configuration practice template. Once configured, the task is automatically sent to the configured recipient at run time. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select File > System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. Select the Practice tab. Under Show, select All. A list of practice templates appears. Select Practice Configuration, and select OK.The Practice Configuration template opens. To indicate that the Category field on the Quick Task Setup template, in the Quick task section, select the Require a Category to be entered when Quick Task settings are added or updated checkbox. Create Custom Health Promotion Plans

You can create a custom health promotion plan. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Template Data Sets Setup template. In Plan Type, enter a label for the kind of plan you want. In File Maint. Dx Category, enter a disease category set up in File Maintenance. In Label for Value, enter a label that you want to search. Select the data tables and data fields that you want to retrieve values from. In Lo Value and Hi Value, enter low and high values. In Units Value, enter the type of units to display. In Other DBPicklist Name, select up to 10 custom lists. Note: The Developer, Funding Source, and Reference Updated fields support clinical decisions. When you add the configuration details in the other fields, Reference Updated is automatically filled with the current date. Select Save. Create Customized Health Promotion Plan

On the Data Sets Setup template, select Data Set and select Health Promotion Plan. The existing data set items associated with the Health Promotion Plan data set appear in the grid. Health Promotion Plan data set Select Add.The Template Data Sets Setup – [New Record] template opens. Template Data Sets Setup If applicable, select Diagnosis description to search and select a diagnosis.The associated diagnosis code automatically populates. If applicable, select Provider and select a provider. Enter the details in the necessary fields. Select Save, and then select Close.The newly configured data set item appears in the Data Sets Setup template. Note: To add another item, select Clear For Add in the Template Data Sets Setup – [New Record] template and repeat steps 1 and 2.
