Care Guidelines Clear and Restore Utility

You can clear and restore the content of a care guideline for any patient data. Use the Care Guidelines Clear and Restore practice template to reset care guidelines data and settings back to the original defaults. You can do the following: Restore the NextGen healthcare provided default definitions for care guidelines, this removes care guidelines content you have configured at the practice level. Choose to clear all the care guidelines information at the patient level, such as guidelines activated for patients and their reasons, and any customizations made. This allows you to start over with using care guidelines. CAUTION: Restoring care guidelines default definitions and clearing care guidelines related patient data is a one-time use function. After you decide to run this utility, you cannot recover the data. This utility should not be run when you are using the application. Restore Practice-Level Default Care Guidelines Content and Definitions

You can delete current practice-level data and restore it to default by using the Care Guidelines Clear and Restore template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guidelines Clear and Restore, and then select OK Expand the Restore NextGen Default Care Guidelines Definitions - Practice Level panel, and then in Apply to, select All Practice or Current Practice. Restore NextGen Default Care Guidelines Definitions - Practice Level Select the guideline category you want to restore to default, and then select Accept.A confirmation message appears. Select Yes. Select Enable, and then select Yes. Select Restore History.When the restoration is completed, today's date, time, and the current user's name appear in the Care Guidelines Restore History window. Select and Review Care Guideline Items to Restore

You can use the Report and Restore panel to search, review, and restore a patient's care guidelines during the same cleanup session in which they were removed. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guidelines Clear and Restore, and then select OK Expand the Report and Restore panel, and then in Apply to, select All Practice or Current Practice. Select one or more of the following search criteria: Applying Provider Reason type Condition/Reason Guideline Item To search for guideline items filtered by customization, select Exclude Customized or Include Customized, and then select Search. Note: Search becomes available only when you select a filter criterion. Records matching the search criteria appear in the Report and Restore grid. Select the records and then select Restore. Restore a Guideline Item

You can restore a care guideline item for a patient using the Remove/Restore Guidelines panel. You can restore a care guideline or guideline item removed previously, so that it can be followed for a patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines template opens. Select Add/Update in the Care Guidelines panel. The Activate Care Guidelines template opens. In the Activate Guidelines panel, select the Conditionfrom the list. Select Add to activate it again. This re-applies the guideline. Select Save & Close. Note: When you re-apply a guideline, the application goes through all of the existing items that are active, and only re-applies the one that is missing from the set for the condition. Open the Recommended Care Practice Template

You can access the Recommended Care practice template using the Care Guideline Setup practice template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guideline Setup, and the select OK.The Care Guideline Setup practice template opens. Expand the Manage Groups and Options panel, and select the Recommended Care link.The Recommended Care practice template opens. Clear and Restore Utility

You can clear the default content of a care guideline for any patient data. The clear and restore tools for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine include the care guidelines clear or restore report and utilities to restore default content and definitions that are packaged with care guidelines and to clear out any old care guidelines patient data. The clear and restore tools for care guidelines can be used with NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine versions 8.3.x, 8.4.x, and later. CAUTION: The care guidelines clear or restore tool should only be run during off hours. The tool is designed to evaluate all patient records, and cause serious performance issues if you run it while continuing to use the application. Functions of the clear or restore tool is based on the number of patient records in the database. After you run this tool, you cannot recover any removed data.
