Resetting Care Guidelines at the Patient Level

You can reset the content of a care guideline for a patient using the Reset Patient Care Guidelines panel. Care guidelines can be reset at the patient level in the Reset Patient Care Guidelines panel, this removes all patient level. This includes recommended care and orderable patient level items and reasons for activated guidelines, any customizations made to intervals and start or stop ages, guideline items with a status of hold testing, and completed dates that were entered within care guidelines. Any data that exists in the Orders module, diagnostic test history, Immunizations module, and items on the Order Management template are be affected. The patient care guidelines are cleared for all patients at the current practice. For patients with enterprise chart enabled, clears patient care guidelines data for all practices. Restoring Defaults for Care Guidelines at the Practice Level

You can restore the default content of a care guideline for a patient. Restore the default content and definitions of care guidelines using the Restore NextGen Default Care Guidelines Definitions – Practice Level panel. This removes all existing customized content for the practice. Care guidelines content and definitions at the practice level can be restored for all practices in the enterprise at one time, or for only the practice you are currently logged into. There are three categories of care guidelines content. Select and Review Care Guideline Items to Restore

You can use the Report and Restore panel to search, review, and restore a patient's care guidelines during the same cleanup session in which they were removed. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guidelines Clear and Restore, and then select OK Expand the Report and Restore panel, and then in Apply to, select All Practice or Current Practice. Select one or more of the following search criteria: Applying Provider Reason type Condition/Reason Guideline Item To search for guideline items filtered by customization, select Exclude Customized or Include Customized, and then select Search. Note: Search becomes available only when you select a filter criterion. Records matching the search criteria appear in the Report and Restore grid. Select the records and then select Restore. You can reset a patient's care guidelines using the Care Guidelines Clear and Restore template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, Select System/Practice Templates.The Select Template window opens. From the Practice tab, select All.A list of practice-level templates opens. Select Care Guidelines Clear and Restore, and then select OK. The Care Guidelines Clear and Restore practice template opens. To remove the care guidelines, expand the Reset Patient Care Guidelines panel, and then do one the following: Select the Permanently remove old pre-Care Guidelines Protocols records checkbox. If required, select the Include ALL practices checkbox. Select the Permanently remove all patient Immunization guideline records checkbox. If required, select the Include ALL practices checkbox. Care Guidelines Clear and Restore Utility

You can clear and restore the content of a care guideline for any patient data. Use the Care Guidelines Clear and Restore practice template to reset care guidelines data and settings back to the original defaults. You can do the following: Restore the NextGen healthcare provided default definitions for care guidelines, this removes care guidelines content you have configured at the practice level. Choose to clear all the care guidelines information at the patient level, such as guidelines activated for patients and their reasons, and any customizations made. This allows you to start over with using care guidelines. CAUTION: Restoring care guidelines default definitions and clearing care guidelines related patient data is a one-time use function. After you decide to run this utility, you cannot recover the data. This utility should not be run when you are using the application.
