Configure Client Checkboxes

You can configure up to three client checkboxes for various sections of the Intake and SOAP templates. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template. On the System tab, select the All option. Select Framework Content, and then select OK. Expand the Client Configurations - Panels, Buttons, Checkboxes panel. Note: You can select the Vital Signs Configuration link to configure the display settings of vital signs. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Vital Signs Interface User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Configure Client Buttons

You can configure the customizable client buttons for the Intake, SOAP, and Pediatric SOAP templates to open your custom and existing templates. The card name refers to a specific section of the template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select a specialty from the list. Select the Client Button Configuration panel. To configure the client buttons, do one of the following: Select the Template and Card Name from the list. From the grid, select the row for the relevant template, card name, and client button to configure. Note: Ensure that the button you have selected is not a default button. The data appears in the fields of the grid. In the Button Caption field, enter the label for the button. To select a template, select Template to launch, select the template name in the list and select OK. Configuring Checkboxes

You can configure the client checkboxes to document any custom data. You can configure up to three checkboxes for each panel on the Framework Content template. You can modify the order of the checkboxes, hide or show the checkboxes, add labels in CheckBox Caption, and add text in Document Text for each of the checkboxes. You must first configure the checkboxes and clear the Hide checkbox to use them on the templates. Note: You must remember the template and card names when configuring the client checkboxes. Include Predefined Text in Encounter Documents Include Predefined Text in Encounter Documents You can use the client configurable check boxes on the Intake, SOAP, and Pediatric SOAP templates. The NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine package includes client-configurable check boxes to include predefined text while generating documentation. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For a patient encounter, open a template. For example, Intake. In the Navigation bar, select the Configurable Checkboxes link. The Configurable Checkboxes template opens. Configurable Checkboxes Select a record from the grid. The Template and Panel Name fields are updated automatically. Note: When you hover over the selected item in the grid, the documented predefined text is displayed. A tick mark in the Documented column indicates that the check box is already selected and the predefined text is included in the document. Overview of the Configurable Client Checkboxes

The client configurable checkboxes enable you to include predefined text in your documentation. You can quickly document custom data using client configurable checkboxes. Based on the configuration done on the Framework Content template in the Client CheckBox Configuration panel, the names of the templates and panels, and the captions of the checkboxes appear on the Configurable Checkboxes template. Client Configurable checkboxes For a specialty, if you do not configure the checkboxes, a message appears on the Configurable Checkboxes template indicating that no checkboxes are configured for the current specialty. You can open the Configurable Checkboxes template from the navigation bar. Framework Template Set

You can configure the details related to the template set in the Framework Template Set section. From the Framework Template Set section, you can do the following: Framework Template Set section If you are a single-specialty practice, you can select a default specialty for all of the Framework templates. The Clear button allows you to clear the selection from the field. If you want to change the specialty in runtime, select a new specialty on the templates in the encounter.
