Configuration of Custom Visit Type

You can configure a custom visit type using the Visit Type Configuration window. Additionally, you can map the configured visit type with a specialty and required templates to display at runtime using the Framework Content system template. You can configure a new visit type required by a practice, and manage these custom visit types using the Visit Type Configuration window. To add a new visit type, you must map an existing visit type and the associated Evaluation and Management billing code with the new visit type. Based on your practice preference, you can map a specialty and the required templates to display on runtime with the configured visit type using the Framework Content system template. The selected specialty and the runtime visit type details are displayed on the created documents. Configuration of Tabs and Links

You can configure the tabs and links in the sub-navigation and tabs sections. You can find the framework content links in the navigation tabs on the Framework template set. These are convenient, customizable links that you can configure to open frequently used templates. The defaults for the framework template links vary depending on the specialty, visit type, and tab. You can use the Tabs section of the Framework Content system template to add, delete or modify the tabs for a specialty and any of its visit types. You can add several visit types for a particular specialty and configure the tabs for each specialty-visit type combination. Modify Client Checkboxes

You can update the custom phrase and label of the client checkboxes on the Framework Content template. You can modify the client checkboxes to use on the Intake, SOAP, and Pediatric SOAP templates. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content template. Select a specialty from the list. Select the Client CheckBox Configuration panel. Select a row in the grid. Modify the details in CheckBox Caption or Document Text. To review the Hide checkbox status, do one of the following: To hide the client checkboxes, select the Hide checkbox. Configure Client Buttons

You can configure the customizable client buttons for the Intake, SOAP, and Pediatric SOAP templates to open your custom and existing templates. The card name refers to a specific section of the template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select a specialty from the list. Select the Client Button Configuration panel. To configure the client buttons, do one of the following: Select the Template and Card Name from the list. From the grid, select the row for the relevant template, card name, and client button to configure. Note: Ensure that the button you have selected is not a default button. The data appears in the fields of the grid. In the Button Caption field, enter the label for the button. To select a template, select Template to launch, select the template name in the list and select OK. Configure Client Checkboxes

You can configure up to three client checkboxes for various sections of the Intake and SOAP templates. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template. On the System tab, select the All option. Select Framework Content, and then select OK. Expand the Client Configurations - Panels, Buttons, Checkboxes panel. Note: You can select the Vital Signs Configuration link to configure the display settings of vital signs.
