Configure Client Buttons

You can configure the customizable client buttons for the Intake, SOAP, and Pediatric SOAP templates to open your custom and existing templates. The card name refers to a specific section of the template.

  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
  2. Open the Framework Content system template.
  3. Select a specialty from the list.
  4. Select the Client Button Configuration panel.
  5. To configure the client buttons, do one of the following:
    • Select the Template and Card Name from the list.
    • From the grid, select the row for the relevant template, card name, and client button to configure.
    The data appears in the fields of the grid.
  6. In the Button Caption field, enter the label for the button.
  7. To select a template, select Template to launch, select the template name in the list and select OK.
  8. To sort the order of the buttons, select Sort Order, and select the order of the button in the list.
  9. Clear the Hide checkbox.
  10. Select Update.
    The configured client button displays the label and is visible in the corresponding section of the template for the configured specialty. If the client buttons do not fit within the column, they appear under the More button.
