Template Links

You can use links to open frequently used templates. Based on the configuration in the Framework Content system template, links appear in the Intake, Histories, SOAP, Finalize, and Checkout tabs. The appearance of these links can vary based on the specialty, visit type, template, tab, and age of the patient. The links can be configured based on the following: Specialty Practice Provider Specialty and practice Specialty and provider These links are associated with a particular tab. You can configure a specific link on various tabs. Sub Navigation Set Up Links You can use the Framework Content system template to configure the links. Include Predefined Text in Encounter Documents Include Predefined Text in Encounter Documents You can use the client configurable check boxes on the Intake, SOAP, and Pediatric SOAP templates. The NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine package includes client-configurable check boxes to include predefined text while generating documentation. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For a patient encounter, open a template. For example, Intake. In the Navigation bar, select the Configurable Checkboxes link. The Configurable Checkboxes template opens. Configurable Checkboxes Select a record from the grid. The Template and Panel Name fields are updated automatically. Note: When you hover over the selected item in the grid, the documented predefined text is displayed. A tick mark in the Documented column indicates that the check box is already selected and the predefined text is included in the document. Note: If configured, the custom label of the check box appears in place of Check Box and in the Checkbo

Configuring Checkboxes

You can configure the client checkboxes to document any custom data. You can configure up to three checkboxes for each panel on the Framework Content template. You can modify the order of the checkboxes, hide or show the checkboxes, add labels in CheckBox Caption, and add text in Document Text for each of the checkboxes. You must first configure the checkboxes and clear the Hide checkbox to use them on the templates. Note: You must remember the template and card names when configuring the client checkboxes. Configurable Checkboxes The configured checkboxes appear on the Configurable Checkboxes template for the corresponding panel of the templates. Configure Client Checkboxes You can configure up to three client checkboxes for various sections of the Intake and SOAP templates. Configure Client Buttons You can configure the customizable client buttons for the Intake, SOAP, and Pediatric SOAP templates to open your custom and existing templates. Modify Client Checkboxes

You can update the custom phrase and label of the client checkboxes on the Framework Content template. You can modify the client checkboxes to use on the Intake, SOAP, and Pediatric SOAP templates. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content template. Select a specialty from the list. Select the Client CheckBox Configuration panel. Select a row in the grid. Modify the details in CheckBox Caption or Document Text. To review the Hide checkbox status, do one of the following: To hide the client checkboxes, select the Hide checkbox. Documenting General Information of Patients

You can enter a patient's general information during the intake workflow or review and update the details during the provider workflow. General panel on Intake You can specify whether the patient is new or established for the current encounter in the General panel on the Intake template. If encounters exist for the patient, the Established patient option is automatically selected. When someone provides details on-behalf of patient, you can document the historian details in the Historian field. When someone interprets communication on-behalf of patient, you can select the Interpreter Details link to document the details of the interpreter. You can select the Configurable Questionnaires link to document the screening details of the patient. You can select the Transitioning into Care link to document the summary of care record details for a patient. Configure Client Buttons

You can configure the customizable client buttons for the Intake, SOAP, and Pediatric SOAP templates to open your custom and existing templates. The card name refers to a specific section of the template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select a specialty from the list. Select the Client Button Configuration panel. To configure the client buttons, do one of the following: Select the Template and Card Name from the list. From the grid, select the row for the relevant template, card name, and client button to configure. Note: Ensure that the button you have selected is not a default button. The data appears in the fields of the grid. In the Button Caption field, enter the label for the button. To select a template, select Template to launch, select the template name in the list and select OK. To sort the order of the buttons, select Sort Order, and select the order of the button in the list. Clear the Hide checkbox. Select Update.The configured c
