Open the Patient Demographics Template

You can document patient details such as contact number, address, Primary Care Physician (PCP), primary practice provider, insurance, pharmacy, provider, emergency contact, employment, and reminder details, on the Patient Demographics template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient record. To open the Patient Demographics template, do one of the following: Open the Templates module, and double-click Patient Demographics in the Demographics tab. On the Home Page template, select the Demographics link. The Patient Demographics template opens. Managing Telephone Call Details

You can document telephone communication details with patients on the Telephone Call template. You can do the following on a telephone call: Discuss and document provider and nursing comments, Care Guidelines, and patients' post-op days, immunizations with their due dates, and patient reminders. Document communication details such as call information, communication history, medication, and allergy details. Create and share lab orders. Create and share diagnostics, office services, immunizations, surgical procedures, referrals, and patient education. Viewing Template Links on the Home Page Template

On the Home Page template, you can view and open links to other templates based on the selected specialty. The recommended workflow for a patient encounter is to begin on the Home Page template. If you set up the Home Page template as the default, then the same template automatically opens as the first template for an encounter. You can also open the generic Home Page template from the Templates module. You can review and document the summary of a patient's problems, history, allergies, medications, vital signs, orders, and so on, on the Home Page template. Editing the Patient's Address History

You can view and edit the patient's address history details in the Address panel of the Patient Demographics template. You can add, update, or remove a previous address in the Address panel of the Patient Demographics template if the address is not the patient's primary address. You can edit the primary address only on the Modify Patient Information template. The edits you make in the Address History section of the Address panel, including adding, updating, or removing a previous history, are audited through Advanced Audit. Add Reminders through the Patient Demographics Template

You can add a reminder. You can add and view reminders associated with patients in the Reminder panel of the Patient Demographics template. Patient Demographics Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Patient Demographics template, expand the Reminder panel. Select the reminder type, method of contact, and send date, and enter your comments for the reminder. Select Add. The reminder is added to the Reminder panel grid, where you can view the reminder type, method of contact, type of sender, language of contact, and outreach campaign name associated with the patient. Open the Telephone Call Template

You can open the Telephone Call template to record information gathered during a telephone conversation with the patient. Before you begin Using the Call/Communication link, if you want to open the Telephone Call template by default, then you must clear the Launch Telephone Communication check box at the practice level on the Practice Configuration template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To open the Telephone Call template, do one of the following: On the Intake template, select the Call/Communication link.
