Obstetrics Master Document

You can generate an OB master document for a particular visit. The OB Master Document includes information entered for that particular visit. It does not include past flowsheet entries and is not meant to be a cumulative document. The information on the OB Initial Exam template does not print in the OB Master document. The OB Master document is generally used in: For postpartum visits For non-pregnancy-related visits that are billable outside of the global fee For state Medicaid regulations Generate the Obstetrics Master Document You can generate the OB Master document to view data entered in the Obstetrics templates. You can use the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine templates to document the Obstetrics patient information. Documenting Obstetrics Visits You can document prenatal and postpartum obstetrics visits. Initial Prenatal Visits With the Initial Prenatal Visit type, you can document the prenatal visit in the navigation tabs. Obstetrics Intake Staff Workflow You can document the intake information in the Intake template. Obstetrics Provider Workflow You can document the provider information in the Prenatal Detail and SOAP template. Overview of the Checkout Staff Workflow You can review and generate documents of a patient's checkout process. Documenting Obstetrics Postpartum Visits You can enter postpartum details in the OB Postpartum template. Prenatal Record Document (Obstetrics Crystal Report) You can generate a prenatal record document also known as an OB Crystal report. Obstetrics Master Document You can generate an OB master document for a particular visit.

Generate the Obstetrics Crystal Report

You can generate the OB Crystal report from the Prenatal Detail template. In Home Page or Intake template, select Obstetrics as the specialty and OB Prenatal Initial as the visit type for the initial prenatal visit, or OB Prenatal for the follow-up visit. If the report is being generated outside of a visit, select Chart Update - OB as the visit type. Select the Prenatal Detail tab and then select the Prenatal Record button in the Assessment/Plan panel.The OB Crystal Report is generated and displays data entered from the Gestational Age, Histories, Education, and Prenatal Detail templates. Note: The OB Crystal Report must only be generated from the Prenatal Detail template and not from File > Reports > Crystal Report. Documenting Obstetrics Gestational Orders

You can document information in the OB Gestational Orders template. You can open the OB Gestational Orders template from thePrenatal Detail > Order Labs > OBGYN Lab Master > Labs > Orders by Gestational Week. The lab results fills the Order Management template, Lab Results - Obstetrics template, the Order module, and the master document. Before using the OB Gestational Orders template, you have to select the OB Prenatal- Initial visit type and enter the applicable information in the Gestational Age tab. Obstetrics Provider Workflow

You can document the provider information in the Prenatal Detail and SOAP template. The provider workflow for an Initial Prenatal visit involves reviewing the information documented by the intake staff and proceeding with the patient encounter by documenting information on the Prenatal Detail and SOAP templates. On the first visit, open the Gestational Age template must be opened and verify the due date. Reviewing Obstetrics Details by Providers A provider can start the visit by reviewing the patient information documented during the previous patient encounters on the Home Page template for the Obstetrics specialty. Obstetrics Home Page Template You can review the historical information of the patient on the Home Page - Obstetrics template. Initial Prenatal Visits

With the Initial Prenatal Visit type, you can document the prenatal visit in the navigation tabs. The navigation tabs display based on which Obstetrics visit type. You can only change or select visit types from the Home or the Intake template. Document the Obstetrics and Gynecology Synopsis Template The Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) Synopsis template provides the details of female patients. Document the Pap and HPV Details Template The Pap and HPV Details template allows you to view the lab order details and document the Pap screenings. Document the Pregnancy Outcomes Template You can document information in the Pregnancy Outcomes template. Documenting Pregnancy Outcomes You can document pregnancy outcomes in the OBGYN Synopsis and Pregnancy Outcomes templates.
