Commonly Used DB Picklists

The following are examples of the most commonly used DB picklists in the run-time templates: Appointment Room - This opens from the Room field in the Patient Tracking template to indicate where the patient is being seen during the encounter. Appointment Status - This opens from the Status field in the Patient Tracking template to include the status of the patient visit in an encounter. My Instructions - This opens from the fields in the Instructions section on the My Plan template to add instructions for the treatment plan. Custom DB Picklist Setup

Once you create and save a custom DB picklist, you can use the Custom DB Picklists template to configure it with different properties and then save it with a unique name. Use the Step 2 Add/Edit List Items panel to manage: Custom DB picklists that use only two qualifiers (Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2). Custom DB picklists that are already associated with a Practice ID. Note: You can tell if a custom DB picklist is associated with a practice ID by looking at the Practice ID column in theCustom DB Picklists template's top grid. Add SNOMED® Codes to SNOMED Visit Type

SNOMED codes and the related details that you add in the Custom DBPicklist Setup template will appear in the SNOMED Type template in run time. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Custom DB Picklists template. In the Custom DB Picklists top grid, select SNOMED_Visit_Type.The selected DB picklist appears in the DBPicklist Name field. In the Step 2 Add/Edit List Items panel, select Configure.If the Configure button is not available in the Step 2 Add/Edit List Items panel. The Custom DBPicklist Setup template opens with pre-configured data in the grid. From the Custom DBPicklist Setup template, select Add New List Item link.The fields above the grid are enabled for documentation. In the Code Value field, enter a numeric SNOMED code. Creating and Managing Customizable DB Picklists

The Custom DB Picklist system template enables you to create and manage customizable DB picklists that you can associate with any text field in any medical record template in the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. Note: For a new custom DB picklist, you must create triggers on the corresponding fields in the Template Editor to open the DB picklist. Before you can edit triggers on the field, you must copy and save the template with a unique name that will not be overwritten the next time you upgrade NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. The Custom DB Picklist system template enables you to configure values for the pre-configured DB picklists that are packaged with NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine, without updating the triggers in Template Editor. Add SNOMED® Code for an Ocular Disease and Procedure

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In the Custom DB Picklists top grid, select OPH OcularHistory.The selected DB picklist OPH OcularHistory appears in the DBPicklist Name field. Items in the OPH OcularHistory DB picklist appear in the Step 2 Add/Edit List Items grid. Select Configure in the header of the Step 2 Add/Edit List Items panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In the Custom DB Picklists template top grid, select the Care Plans custom DB picklist.The selected DBPicklist Care Plans appears in the DBPicklist Name field. Select Configure.The Care Plans Setup template opens with pre-configured data in the grid. To add new care plan data, select Add New List Items link.The fields above the grid become available for documentation. Select the Practice ID field and select the practice that uses the care plan data. In the Care Plan Type field, enter any of the following care plans: Problem Intervention Outcome Goal In the Problem field, enter a category for the problem. In the Code Set Type field, enter the code type.For example, you can include the code type SNOMED for a care plan goal. In the Code Value field, enter a code to associate with the problem.
