Document Testosterone Pellets Procedures

You can document the details of the testosterone pellets procedure.

1. On the SOAP template, select the Procedures link.
   The Procedures template opens.
2. In the Genitourinary section, select Testosterone Pellets.
   The Procedure - Testosterone Pellets template opens.

   

3. In the Indication section, do the following:
   1. Select Description, and select the diagnosis.
      The code is automatically filled.
   2. Select Status, and select the diagnosis status from the list.
4. To enter a saved default set, select Quick Load and Save.
5. In the Pre-Procedure Care section, select the appropriate checkboxes after explaining the procedure details to the patient.
   Note: To add more information about the consent, select the Consent link.
6. In the Site Preparation and Dressing section, select the appropriate checkboxes.
7. In the Drug Information section, select the drug details, and enter the drug sequence, number of pellets (total dosage is calculated automatically), and lot number and expiration date.
8. In the Procedure section, enter the insertion location, anesthesia details, physician who performed the procedure along with date and time.
9. If the patient tolerated the procedure, select Patient tolerated procedure well.
10. Enter any additional information in Comments.
11. Enter the post-procedure and follow-up instructions.
12. Select Save & Close.
    A window opens to confirm if a bill must be submitted for this procedure.
13. Select Yes to submit the bill, or No to save and exit.
