Document Circumcision Procedures

You can document details of the circumcision procedure.

1. On the SOAP template, select the Procedures link.
   The Procedures template opens.
2. In the Genitourinary section, select Circumcision.
   The Circumcision - Procedure template opens.

   

3. To enter a saved default set, select Quick Load and Save.
4. In the Pre-Procedure Care section, select the appropriate checkboxes after explaining the details of the procedure to the patient.
   Note: To add more information about the consent, select the Consent link.
5. In the Pre-Procedure Analgesia section, select Yes or No for giving analgesia.
   • If you select Yes, enter the details of the analgesia given.
6. Enter the pain score level.
7. In the Anesthesia/Comfort Measures section, select the appropriate options to document the details of anesthesia given to the patient.
   • If the procedure was done without anesthesia, select No anesthesia used.
8. In the Devices Used to Perform Circumcision section, select the device used for the circumcision and enter the other details of the procedure.
9. To document genitourinary exam findings, select GU Exam.
10. Select the diagnosis and status of the procedure.
11. Enter any additional information in Comments.
12. To submit the procedure charges, select Submit to Superbill.
13. Select Save & Close.
