window opens.
Enter the contact person's name and address.
Select the type of animal.
Enter the transporation and emergency outbreak details, and then select
Save & Close
.
The exposure details appear in the
Contagion Exposure History
grid.

Deactivate Contagion Risk Records
You can indicate that a particular type of contagion risk is inactive. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On a patient encounter, open any of the standard visit templates. (for example, the Intake template). On the template header, select the Contagion Risk link. The Contagion Exposure template opens. Contagion Exposure Note: The exposure fields are disabled until you select an exposure in the exposure list. Select the type of exposure from the Contagion Exposure History grid. Select the Deactivate check box and select Update. The flag icon disappears in the "*" column and the badge count next to the Contagion Risk link on the template header decreases. Document Contagion Risks
You can document information about the patient's contagion exposure and their travel to areas at high risk for such exposures. You can add, update, remove, or turn off contagion exposure details in the Contagion Exposure History grid when working on an unlocked encounter. You cannot modify information in a locked encounter. The contagions details are automatically flagged until turned off. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake template, select the Family Practice specialty and Office Visit visit type, and then select Contagion Risk.The Contagion Exposure template opens. Select the type of document. In Exposure, select the type of contagion.NextGen® Enterprise EHR automatically fills the Exposure and Incubation details. Note: The Incubation etails appear if the incubation time period to the exposure is assigned in the Custom DB Picklist system template. Document the Patient's Suicide Risk Assessment
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and then in Patient History, select Open Templates. The Select Template window opens. On the Medical Records tab, select All. Select Eval of Suicide Risk (BH), and then select OK. Select the program, specialty, and visit type. Note: Only programs that the patient is actively enrolled in appear in the list. You can select <No Program> to create an encounter without a program, and then add the program later. Document the reason for the suicide risk assessment. Document the patient's historical, clinical, and situational risk factors. Document the protective factors for the patient's mental health. Document the Patient's Status
You can record the patient's status using the Social History - Status template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Histories template. In the Social panel, select Statuses, and then select Add/Edit.The Adult Social History template opens. Expand the Statuses panel. In the Demographics section, enter the patient details. Select the Employment Information link, and on the Employment/Occupation template, select Add to create a new record. Select Save, and then select Close. Select the occupational hazards or enter the hazards manually.You can enter up to two hazards. In the Radiation Exposure section, enter the exposure date, radiation type, and the radiation dose and unit.By default, the encounter date appears as the exposure date. You can view document and encounter information, file properties, and user permissions for a selected patient document on the Encounter History or Categories tab. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window.
