Document Historical Cardiac Procedures

You can document historical cardiac procedures administered to patients. The application adds these procedures to the Order Management with status as completed. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To open the Cardiology Procedures template, click the Procedures tab. On the Cardiac Procedures panel, do the following: To open a specific procedure, click the procedure category link on the left side. Select the procedure you want to document. Click OK. On the Date PopUp window, do the following: Select the date on which the procedure has been completed. Click Accept. If the default month and date are set as 01 and 01 in Practice Configuration and if you select the procedure year as 2015, the procedure completed date is filled as 01/01/2015. Enter the procedure details. Click Accept in the corresponding procedure window.The procedure has been added in the Cardiac Procedures grid. Attach Document or Image to Cardiac Procedures

You can attach an encounter document, a scanned document, or an image to a cardiac procedure using the See attached document field on the procedure template. When you attach a document or an image, the Attachment column in the Cardiac Procedures grid on the Cardiac Procedure panel changes to Y. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Cardiology Procedures template by clicking the Procedures tab. On the Cardiology Procedures template, click the Cardiac Procedures panel. Select a category in the left pane and select a procedure from the list. The corresponding procedure template opens. Enter the procedure details. Select See scanned document. The Scanned Document/Image window opens. Select an item to attach to the procedure and click OK. To attach a different document, do the following. Click the CI button . Cardiac Procedures

The Cardiology Procedures template enables you to enter results for historical cardiac procedures administered to patients by a nurse, technician, or provider. The Cardiology procedure categories appear in the left pane of the Cardiac Procedures grid. You can filter the grid to show a specific date range. The Cardiac Procedures panel provides the following viewing options. Launch Template Opens the procedure template. Launch Attachment Opens the procedure attachment. Remove Cardiac Procedure Attachments

You can remove attachments from a cardiac procedure. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Cardiology Procedures template by clicking the Procedures tab. On the Cardiology Procedures template, click the Cardiac Procedures panel. The Launch template option is selected by default. Select a procedure in the grid with a Y indicator in the Attachment column. The corresponding procedure template opens. Select Cl .The attachment is removed from the procedure. Attach a Photo

Attaching a File System or Patient Chart Image is another way to attach an image stored on your file system to a finding. Right-click the finding row in the Findings Grid, and select Attach Image. The Select Image window opens. Locate the image and select Open to display it in the PHOTO pane at the lower left corner of the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component window. The image is attached to the finding in the patient's chart when you save the annotated image. It is labeled with the Finding Name - Region Description. Note: If you delete an annotation in either the Findings Grid or on the active image, the photo attached to that annotation is no longer displayed. Attach a Document

When you attach a document from the patient's chart, it is added to the NextGen® PxP Portal document history after the message is sent. You can also include documents saved on your computer in a message. From the main toolbar, select the Inbox button. The Workflow window opens. Select Compose. The Patient Portal Message window opens. Select the Attachments tab. The Attachments window opens. Optional: To attach a document such as a Microsoft® Word®, Adobe® Acrobat®, image, text, or HTML file from your computer, on the Attachments tab, select Word button, and then select a file. To include a document from the patient's chart, on the Attachments tab, select Add an attachment button. On the Add An Attachment window, under Documents, expand the encounter dates. Select the documents you want to include, and then select OK.The attached documents appear on the Attachments tab. Note: To remove an attached document, select the attachment and the remove button. The patient receives a notification
