Cardiology Histories Workflow

You can document the cardiology histories in the Histories - Cardiology template. The template uses standard framework functionality and is used by the nurse/technician to document a patient's history. You can document the following in the Histories – Cardiology template. Problems Medical/Surgical/Interim Diagnostic Studies Family Social Document Cardiac Problems The Problems panel enables you to document, search for, and select the chronic and secondary conditions of a patient's problems. Cardiology Intake Staff Workflow

You can document the patient specific information on the Intake – Cardiology template, and then direct the patient to the provider for further assessment and diagnosis. The Intake - Cardiology template contains the following sections. General Reason for Visit History Summary Vital Signs Medications Allergies Cardiac Orders Orders Review of Systems Document General Information After reviewing the available patient details on the Home Page template, you can document the general information of a patient in the General panel. Reasons for Visit The Reason for Visit appears on the left pane of the Intake-Cardiology template. You can customize the list by specialty or by provider. Configuring Setup for the Cardiology Specialty

Cardiac Procedure Attachments

You can attach an image or a document to the cardiology procedure template. The See scanned document checkbox on the selected procedure template enables you to attach one of the following to the cardiology procedures. A scanned document An encounter document An image When you attach a document or image to a cardiac procedure template, the Attachment indicator in the Cardiac Procedures grid changes to Y. The Cardiac Procedures panel provides the following viewing options. Launch Template opens the procedure template regardless of the value in the Attachment column. Note: The corresponding template opens for procedures with an N indicator in the Attachment column. Configurable Test Result Wizard

You can configure the Test Result Wizard template using the Custom DB Picklist system template. Cardiology practices can use the configurable Test Result Wizard template to document historical procedures that are not packaged in NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. As an example, the following procedures were configured using the Test Result Wizard template and added to the Cardiac Procedures panel. Document Historical Cardiac Procedures

You can document historical cardiac procedures administered to patients. The application adds these procedures to the Order Management with status as completed. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To open the Cardiology Procedures template, click the Procedures tab. On the Cardiac Procedures panel, do the following: To open a specific procedure, click the procedure category link on the left side. Select the procedure you want to document. Click OK. On the Date PopUp window, do the following: Select the date on which the procedure has been completed. Click Accept. If the default month and date are set as 01 and 01 in Practice Configuration and if you select the procedure year as 2015, the procedure completed date is filled as 01/01/2015. Enter the procedure details. Click Accept in the corresponding procedure window.The procedure has been added in the Cardiac Procedures grid.
