ASC - Preprocedure Template

The ASC - Preprocedure template is designed to be used by the pre-procedure nurse, Surgery Coordinator or clinical support staff to document instructions such as patient medication and pre-surgery preparations to be given to the patient prior to their procedure. This information is carried forward to the next encounter. This template is completed on the day of procedure. ASC - Intraprocedure Template

The ASC -Intraprocedure template allows the intra-procedure nurse to review the IV, vital signs, Aldrete score, procedure orders documented by the pre-procedure nurse on the ASC - Preprocedure template. The intra-procedure nurse can document the intra-procedure safe surgery details, procedure equipment details, and add any additional personnel administering the procedure. The Allergies link at the top of the ASC - Intraprocedure template opens the Allergies module that includes the allergy information documented in the Procedure Preadmission visit type, and on the ASC - Intake template in the Procedure visit type. Allergies Panel on the ASC - Intake Template

The patient's allergy details documented on the ASC - Scheduling Questions template or ASC - Pre admission template appear in the Allergies panel of the ASC -Intake template. The intake staff reviews and makes the necessary changes to the patient's allergy information as appropriate on the ASC - Intake template. In the Allergies panel on the Intake template, if the patient reports a new allergy since the last visit, select Add.The Adult Allergies template opens. Adult Allergies Select the applicable checkboxes and then select the associated reaction from the corresponding list. Select Save & Close. (Optional) Select the Allergies added today option. If the patient's allergy is not available in the Adult Allergies template, Select the Update button in the Allergies panel to open the Allergies module and document the patient's allergies. In the Allergies panel, the Comment link opens the Allergy Comments template to add any additional information on the documented allergies. You must not
