Allergy Evaluation Workflow

Patient allergy evaluation workflow for the intake staff, providers, and front office staffs. Typically, the patient allergy evaluation workflow involves the following steps: The intake staff uses the Intake and Histories templates to begin the visit for the patient. If needed, the intake staff can review the patient's details documented in previous encounters on the Home Page template. Using the Intake and Histories templates, a nurse or medical assistant can document the reasons for visit, medication, allergies, social history, and so on. The provider can review the patient history documented in previous encounters on the Home Page template or in the intake note document the intake staff generates. The provider then documents the patient exam on the SOAP template. The provider completes the visit and calculates the Evaluation and Management (E&M) code on the Finalize template. Asthma Workflow

Asthma workflow is the process of documenting a patient's asthma related issues. The Asthma workflow enables testing or treatment of pulmonary function during a normal office visit. The possible workflow for asthma patients are: Intake staff uses the Intake and Histories templates to begin the visit for a patient. A provider reviews the intake information and adds additional details on the Asthma Flowsheet template. The provider uses the Spirometry and Nebulizer panels, respectively to document the pulmonary function testing and/or a nebulizer treatment of the patient. The provider uses the Finalize template to complete the visit and to calculate the E&M code. The front office staff uses the Checkout template to complete the discharge formality for the patient. You can review the patient's medical summary details on the Home Page template and then proceed to the SOAP and Finalize templates. The provider workflow for allergy testing typically involves: Reviewing the data documented by the intake staff to obtain an overview of the patient's condition as well as updating and providing additional information as needed. Evaluating and interpreting the allergy tests performed. Place additional orders, as needed. Finalize the patient visit. Enter the Prick, ID, and Challenge Results The Prick/ID/Challenge Test panel enables providers to review and enter results for the patient's Prick, ID, and Challenge tests. Placing Allergy Orders and Documenting Test

You can document the test result in the Prick/ID/Challenge Test panel on the Testing - Allergy template. The Prick/ID/Challenge Test panel enables you to order and document the results of the following tests: Prick ID Challenge You can place the order on the Allergy Orders template. Prick/ID/Challenge Test panel After placing the orders, the Results section displays the first group of 20 allergens ordered. You can enter the test results in the Results section. The Type and Allergen fields in the Challenge Tests panel display lists of the ordered Challenge test allergens. Challenge Tests Panel Record Vital Signs for the Challenge Test You can document the vital signs of a patient to perform the Challenge Tests. Perform a Skin, Oral, or Medication Challenge Test You can perform a skin, oral, or medication challenge test for a patient in the Challenge Tests panel.
