The Additional SIG Configuration panel enables practices to add additional SIGs. An additional SIG category may be Other SIG instructions and can include: Take with food, Take at the same time everyday instructions. A medication needs to be associated with these additional Sig’s to use them in the Order Management template.
- Open the Medication Configuration template.
- Expand the Additional SIG Configuration panel.
- Select the Category field to select the configured category from the list.
- Select the Medication SIG field to select an option, or select the blank line in the list to enter the SIG text.
The list displays all the available SIGs in your library.
- Select the Additional SIG field, and enter an additional SIG.
The information gets printed on the medication label.
- Select the Link Med ID field to link a medication, and select an active medication option from the list.
- Select Add.
The entered information appears in the grid.
Note: You can update or remove the SIG information using the Update and Remove button, respectively.
- Select Save & Close.
