template.
Expand the
Medication Dispensing Inventory
panel.
Select an entry in the grid.
In the
Associated SIM codes
grid, select a SIM code from the list.
In the
Associated diagnosis codes
field, search for and select a diagnosis code.
Select
Update
.
The codes appear in the grid.

Activate a Medication
Open the Medication Configuration template. Expand the Medication Dispensing Inventory panel. Select an inactive medication from the grid.The medication information appears in the fields. Add Additional SIG Configuration
The Additional SIG Configuration panel enables practices to add additional SIGs. An additional SIG category may be Other SIG instructions and can include: Take with food, Take at the same time everyday instructions. A medication needs to be associated with these additional Sig’s to use them in the Order Management template. Open the Medication Configuration template. Expand the Additional SIG Configuration panel. Modify Additional SIG Instruction Categories panel Select the Category field to select the configured category from the list. Select the Medication SIG field to select an option, or select the blank line in the list to enter the SIG text. The list displays all the available SIGs in your library. Select the Additional SIG field, and enter an additional SIG. The information gets printed on the medication label. Select the Link Med ID field to link a medication, and select an active medication option from the list. Select Add. The entered information appears in the grid. Modify A

Deactivate a Medication
Open the Medication Configuration template. Expand the Medication Dispensing Inventory panel. Select the medication in the grid.The medication information appears in the fields. Select the Inactive checkbox. Medication Dispensing Inventory panel Select Update.The medication disappears from the grid. Manage Additional SIG Instruction Categories Panel
The Modify Additional SIG instruction Categories panel enables practices to add additional SIG categories so that additional SIG can be pre-configured to these categories. Open the Medication Configuration template. Expand the Modify Additional SIG Instruction Categories panel. Modify Additional SIG Instruction Categories panel In the Category name field, enter a new category name. Select Add. The category name appears in the grid. Modify Additional SIG Instruction Categories panel To modify the added category, do one of the following: To update the category name, select the category in the grid, change the category name, and select Update. To remove the category, select the category, and select Remove. Add Medication Inventory
The Medication Dispensing Inventory panel enables you to update medication inventory at a location. The entered medication appears in the Manage Selected Order grid and the entered lot number is accessible from the Order Management template. Open the Medication Configuration template. Expand the Medication Dispensing Inventory panel. Medication Dispensing Inventory panel Enter a medication in the Medication Search field. You can search for a medication either by a generic or brand name. The GCN, Generic name, Brand name, Status, Medication ID, Practice ID, Medication display name, Strength, and Route fields display specific information related to the selected medication. Medication Dispensing Inventory panel For the Location field, do one of the following: Select a location from the Location field to link it to a specific location. Dispense Medications in the Order Management Template
The Manage Selected Order section is used to dispense, restock, and administer medicines and add additional SIGs. Highlight the medication in the grid.If you have not configured the selected medications in the Medication Configuration system template, an alert message appears. Order Management template If the medications are configured in the Medication Configuration template, it updates the Order, Lot number, Expiration date and other fields. Order Management template If there is an Additional SIG available, click the Additional SIG checkbox. Click the Additional SIG category and Additional SIG field and select an option from the list. Click the Dispensed option. Enter the Quantity dispensed. Enter Comments. Select a SIM code. Click the Diagnosis code field. Select a diagnosis code. Click Save & Task.The Select Task Recipients window opens. Click OK.An alert message displays if you want to task it to yourself.
