You can invite an external guest to a visit, but you must first obtain authorization from the patient as you would for an in-office visit.
- Within NextGen Virtual Visits™, select the Visits
icon from the main menu.
- In the Upcoming tab, select the visit you want to add a guest to.
- In the invited guests panel, select Add Guest
.
- Select No.
- Enter the guest's First Name and Last Name, then select Search.
- Select and enter the contact method, which is used to send the invitation to join the visit.
This step is necessary because the guest you are trying to invite is not a licensed NextGen Virtual Visits™ user at your practice.
- If the patient has authorized this guest to join the visit, select the Patient (or legal representative) authorized disclosure of visit data to specified guest option.
- Select Add.
