Document the Patient's Location and Contact Information
You can document the patient's basic information such as the name, address, and contact information. Open the Demographics (BH) template. Enter information in the Patient Information, Contact Information, and Address History panels. Enter patient's contact details in the corresponding fields. Select Add. Add the Patient's Employment Details
You can add the patient's employment or occupation details using the Social History - Employment template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To add the patient's employment status, do one of the following: On the Histories template, expand the Social panel, select Employment, and then select Add. In the History Summary panel on the Intake template, select Employment from the Social panel, and then select Add. The Adult Social History template opens. Expand the Employment panel, select Add.The "Employment/Occupation" - [New Record] template opens. Select the employer's name, and then select OK. Note: To update the employer's name, select Add/Update, and enter the details in the Modify Patient Information template. Enter the Occupation and Industry details. Enter the details for Occupational Hazards, and then select Restrictions from the list. Enter the hire and termination dates. Select the employment duration, and then enter the reason for leaving. Update Patient Demographics from an Appointment
You can update or change the patient demographics information even after scheduling the appointment from the Edit Appointment window. Select the appointment to update the patient information, and double-click to open the Edit Appointment window. Select the open menu button next to the patient's name and select Lookup. The Update Patient Information window opens. Update the patient demographics information as needed. Select OK to save changes and close the window. The Edit Appointment window reopens. Add Demographics to Patient Profiles
You can add demographics such as the patient's general information, address, contact information, and insurance details. You can also specify if a person is a smoker or veteran on the Demographics tab of Add Person Information window. Additionally you can enroll the patient or person in the Enterprise Chart to view encounters from different practices in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Note: The optional and mandatory fields that appear on the Add Person Information window can be configured by your system administrator in Enterprise Preferences in File Maintenance. The mandatory fields appear in red color. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar select Lookup or People Lookup The Person Lookup window opens. Select New. Add Patient Demographic Information
You can add demographic details of a patient on the Patient Demographics template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Patient Demographics template, and then expand the Patient Information panel. Patient Information Enter values for the following fields: State of birth Country of birth Blood type Enter information in the Race and Ethnicity fields. Note: You can add multiple values for race and ethnicity. To enter the patient's social security number, preferred language, and marital status on the Modify Patient Information template, select the corresponding fields.The Modify Patient Information window opens. The social security, preferred language, and marital status information you update in the Modify Patient Information window automatically appears in the Patient Information panel of the Patient Demographics template.
