Modify Appointment Details

You can modify the appointment and reschedule if needed. Select the appointment to be modified, and double-click to open the Edit Appointment window. Make the modifications to the appointment as needed. Select OK to save changes and close the window. If any of the following fields are modified, the change is considered a reschedule: Date Time Event Duration Resource Location Patient The Appointment Rescheduling Reasonwindow opens. In the Reason for appointment reschedule list, select a reason for rescheduling the appointment, and select OK. The appointment is rescheduled. Parent topic: Modifying an Appointment

Change the Patient Linked to an Appointment

You can remove the current patient linked to the appointment and link a new patient to the same event at the scheduled time. Select the appointment to change the linked patient, and double-click to open the Edit Appointment window. Select the open menu button next to the patient's name and select Clear Patient. A message appears asking you to confirm if you want to delete the linked patient. Select OK to remove the incorrect patient from the appointment. To add the correct patient to the appointment, select the open menu button and select Lookup. The People Lookup window opens. Do one of the following: To select an existing person or patient for the appointment, enter the appropriate search criteria and then select Find. Select New to add a person or patient for the appointment. Select OK to save changes and close the window. Parent topic: Modifying an Appointment

Update Patient Demographics from an Appointment

You can update or change the patient demographics information even after scheduling the appointment from the Edit Appointment window. Select the appointment to update the patient information, and double-click to open the Edit Appointment window. Select the open menu button next to the patient's name and select Lookup. The Update Patient Information window opens. Update the patient demographics information as needed. Select OK to save changes and close the window. The Edit Appointment window reopens. Patient Tab

The Patient tab on the Add/Edit Appointment window is the default tab. It displays demographics and other appointment related information such as encounter number/date and rendering/referring physicians. The patient’s demographics information can be modified by selecting the Open Menu button and selecting Lookup from the menu. Parent topic: Appointment Information
