Mirth® Connect REST API

The Administrator and Command Line Interface both use a well-defined API to communicate with the Mirth® Connect server. You can also use the same API to create custom integrations of your own. The API is documented at https://localhost:8443/api (change the IP / port as needed), or you can select View Client API in Administrator via Other Tasks: Select the View Client API action to open the API documentation in your default browser. Note: You may see a warning in your browser if your Mirth® Connect instance is still using the auto-generated self-signed certificate. You can select Advanced and allow the browser to continue to the page. To resolve this warning, look at Application Data Directory for instructions on installing your own certificate. The following tasks are available at any time at the bottom-left of the task pane throughout the Mirth® Connect Administrator. Log On

Use the Mirth® Connect Login window to authenticate yourself and log on to the Administrator. When you open the Administrator view, the following window appears: Image of the login window The Server field is pre-filled with the correct IP address and port, however, you can change the address, if needed. Note: If this is the first time you are logging on to Mirth® Connect, the default username is admin and the default password is admin. Enter your username and password in the fields. Select Login. Note: If Require Login Notification and Consent (Settings > Server) is set to Yes, a window appears displaying the notification text. Select Accept to continue. Enable the Multi-Channel Message View Confirmation Window

You can enable or disable the multi-message view confirmation window from the Administrator settings. The multi-message view confirmation window appears when a user attempts to view messages across multiple channels to notify the user that the search operation may take an extended amount of time. The confirmation window gives users the option to proceed with or cancel the search. You can enable or disable the multi-message view confirmation window from the Administrator settings. In the Administrator, select Settings from the Mirth® Connect panel. Select the Administrator tab. User Preferences

The User Preferences section enables you to customize certain system behaviors for individual users. The following image shows the User Preferences section of the Administrator Settings tab, followed by descriptions of the items displayed. Note: Settings in this section are specific to the user currently logged on the current server. Item Name Description K Check for new notifications on login Checks for notifications from NextGen (such as announcements, available updates) relevant to this version of Mirth Connect whenever the user logs on. L Administrator Background Color If Server Default is selected, the background color chosen on the Server Settings Tab is used.
