Before you begin
Before you configure the
Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcare, the hardware must be mounted or positioned where it can be connected with the power and network cables, and the unit must be powered on.
Note: You can set the IP address by connecting directly to the Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcare with a monitor and keyboard (Console interface) or through the Control Panel (Web interface).
Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcares are designed for rapid deployment and ease of use. When hardware setup is complete, initial network configuration is performed using Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).
- Connect a keyboard and monitor to the Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcare to obtain the device’s IP address, or use Bonjour® to connect from a web browser on the same network.
- Using the IP address or Bonjour®, connect to the appliance’s embedded web application to monitor or configure the appliance.
