Open the Waystar Website From Encounters
When you select the
Waystar
option in the
External
tab of the
Practice Preference
window, it will be available in the claims context menu.
On the
Encounter
tab, right-click an encounter and then select
Claims
.
The
Encounter Claim Request
window opens.
Right-click on a claim and then select
Waystar
.
The
Waystar
option is available only for electronic claims.
If the claim form type is 1500 for the selected claim, the professional claims search page of the Waystar® Clearinghouse opens.
If the claim form type is UB for the selected claim, the institutional claims page of the Waystar® Clearinghouse opens.

Open the Waystar Website from Claims Lookup

The Claim Request Lookup window opens. In the Claim Requests section, right-click on a claim, and then select Waystar. The Waystar option is available only for electronic claims. On the Encounter Lookup window, right-click on an encounter in the Encounter List. The context menu window opens. Select on the Clearinghouse option. Viewing General Information in Encounters Viewing General Information in Encounters The General tab under Encounters in the patient's chart displays general, provider, diagnosis, and guarantor information for the selected encounter. You can use the Encounters tab to do the following: Open an encounter to view the Encounter Maintenance window. Right-click an encounter to open the shortcut menu. Add or to modify an encounter. Add or modify encounter-level diagnosis codes for an encounter in the ICD-CM section. Open Claim Status Report from Encounter Lookup
Before you begin Submit a claim request for the encounter. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, do one of the following to open the Encounter Lookup window: On the main toolbar, select Encounter. From the Tasks menu, select Lookup > Encounters. The Encounter Lookup window opens. Enter the search criteria to find the desired encounter and select Find. The Encounter List section displays the encounters matching the search criteria. Right-click the desired encounter and select Claims. Note: Alternatively, you can open the Encounter Claims Request window using one of the following methods. From the Patient Chart, on the Encounters tab, in the Encounters list, right-select the desired encounter and select Claims. Select Claims on the taskbar. Search from the Encounter Lookup Window
To access the Encounter Lookup window, do one of the following: From the main toolbar, select Encounter. From the Tasks menu, select Lookup and then Encounters. The Encounter Lookup window opens. Enter details in the Search Criteria to find the desired encounters. You can use multiple parameters to search, like Bill Status, Billable Date Range, Rendering Physician, or Service Location. Select Find. Encounters that match the search criteria entered display in the Encounter List section at the bottom of the window. Total Encounter Balances displays the total outstanding balance for all encounters listed. Records Found displays the total number of encounters listed. From the Encounter List, do one of the following: Double-click to select an encounter. The Patient Chart > Encounters tab opens. Access an Archived Claim from the Encounter Claim Request Window
When searching for an archived claim for a particular patient use this procedure. You can search on information in the patient's profile such as: name, address, social security number, medical record number, person number, phone numbers, or location. Select the Chart icon. On the Patient Lookup window, enter the desired search criteria and select Find. The Patient Lookup window opens. Double-click the Name of the patient. The Patient's Chart window opens.
