Submit an Electronic Claim through the Waystar Website
Before you begin
You must select the
Waystar
option on the
External
tab in the
Practice Preference
window.
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
On the main toolbar, select
Chart
, and then in
Patient Lookup
, enter your search criteria, and then select
Find
.
Matching people and patient records appear in the search results.
In
Matching Records
, select a patient record
, and then select
Open
.
The
Patient Information
tab opens in the
Patient Chart
window.
Select the
Encounters
tab, right-click an encounter, and then select
Claims
.
In the
Encounter Claim Request
window, right-click a claim, and then select
Waystar
.
Note:
The
Waystar
option appears only for electronic claims.
One of the following pages opens:
If the selected claim form type is 1500, the professional claims search page of the Waystar® clearinghouse opens.
If the selected claim form type is UB, the institutional claims page of the Waystar® clearinghouse opens.
Make the necessary changes, and then select
Submit
.

View, Add, and Modify Encounters
When you select a diagnosis in Charge Entry multiplies into more than one code for a payer based on alternate diagnosis mappings in the diagnosis code library. You can view the diagnosis code mapping on the General tab under Encounters in the patient chart. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart, and then in Patient Lookup, enter your search criteria, and then select Find. Matching people and patient records appear in the search results. In Matching Records, select a patient record , and then select Open. The Patient Information tab opens in the Patient Chart window. Select the Encounters tab. You can select the Encounter Date and Encounter Number checkboxes to view the corresponding encounters. The list of encounters, encounter and provider information, guarantor, claim status, and patient group details appear. On the Encounter Lookup window, right-click on an encounter in the Encounter List. The context menu window opens. Select on the Clearinghouse option.
