Recalls for Expired Patients

On the Modify Patient Information window, when the Expired check box is selected, a prompt displays after entering an Expiration Date for patients that have one or more future appointments and/or active recall plans. The purpose of the prompt is to alert the user that future appointments for the patient should be cancelled and active recall plans should be stopped. Expired patient with active recall plan(s) Expired patient with future appointment(s) Expired patient with active recall plan(s) and future appointment(s) Note: System Alerts can also identify expired patients with future appointments and/or active recall plans if enabled in Practice Preferences > Alerts. Marking the Patient as Expired

When you select the Expired option on the Modify Patient Information window and enter an Expiration Date for patients that have one or more future appointments and active recall plans, a messages appears stating that the future appointments must be canceled and the to stop the active recall plans for the patient. Note: If you select the system alerts in the Alerts section of the Practice Preferences window, then when you open the Modify Patient Information you get a message with the information on the expired patients with future appointments and active recall plans. Stop Active Recalls for an Expired Patient

Open the Modify Person Information or Modify Patient Information window to update the expired patient data. Select the Expired checkbox. The Expired Date field becomes active. Enter the Expired Date for the person or patient. Select Yes to cancel them or No to keep them. Use this procedure to do the following: Expire a patient Cancel future appointments and stop active recalls Access the Modify Person/Patient Information Window for the patient that you want to expire.
