Provider Types

Provider Types are used to classify rendering providers in NextGen® Enterprise PM. A Provider Type must be linked to every rendering provider in on the Practice tab of the Providers master file. It is used by Health Centers for UDS and/or state specific reporting.

Recommended entries for UDS reporting include, but are not limited to the following:

• Dentist
• Family Practitioner
• General Practitioner
• Internist
• Mental Health Practitioner
• Nurse
• Nurse Practitioner
• OB/Gyn
• Other Professional Services
• Outreach
• Pediatrician
• Pharmacy
• Physician Assistant
