Mark Kept Appointments as Incomplete

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select ApptBook. Select the kept appointment you want to mark as incomplete. Note: An appointment must be marked as Kept before it can be marked as Incomplete. The Edit Appointment window opens. Select the Incomplete checkbox. Add Appointments

You can schedule an appointment for a resource at a particular time and date. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the main toolbar, select ApptBook. The Appointment Book window opens. Note: To improve the response time, you can open the Appointment Scheduling preferences and select the Only show my preferred resources option under the Resources tab. In the Daily, Weekly Schedule, or Multi-View tabs, select a resource, date, and time slot to schedule an appointment. To add an appointment, do one of the following: From the Appointment Book toolbar, select Add Appt . Right-click the time slot and select New. Double-click the time slot. Enter the details in the mandatory fields. To select and link a person or patient to the appointment, select the open menu icon in the upper-right side of the Add Appointment window and select the patient. Select a Referring Physician for the appointment. Select the open menu icon and select Open Existing Encounters or double-click an encounter to attach it t

Mark an Appointment as Kept

An appointment is automatically marked as kept when an encounter is created and linked to the appointment during the Checkin/Create Encounter auto-flow process. You can also mark an appointment as kept without linking an encounter to it. Open the Appointment Book window. Select the appointment to be marked as kept. Do one of the following: Right-click the appointment and select Mark as Kept. Note: The Mark as Kept menu option is unavailable if the appointment is already kept. Open the appointment and select the Appointment Kept option on the Edit Appointment window. Select OK to save changes and close the window. Reset Appointment Status from Kept to Expected

For example, if the reason for removing the encounter was because the appointment was checked-in in error, the appointment should have a status of Expected, not Kept. If the appointment status is not reset, the appointment continues to appear on the Kept Appointments with No Charges report. Access the Patient Chart. Select the Clinical History/Notes tab. From the Topics list on the left, select Appointments. From the Details section on the right, select the appointment whose status is to be changed. Right-click and select Open from the menu. The Edit Appointment window appears. Clear or uncheck, the Appointment Kept check box. To save changes and close the window, select OK. The appointment status changes from Kept to Expected. Mark Individual Member Appointment as Kept on Group Checkin Window

When a patient arrives for a group appointment, you can mark their individual member appointments as Kept from the Group Checkin/Create Encounter window. This enables you to open a single group appointment and mark the arrived members as kept rather than opening individual appointment and marking them. The kept indicator helps you to distinguish between members who have arrived and group member who have not arrived. Select ApptBook on the main toolbar. From the Daily, Weekly List, Weekly Schedule or Multi-View view, select an individual appointment that was scheduled as part of a group appointment. Right-click and then select Checkin/Create Encounter > Group Appointment > Select Members. The Group Checkin/Create Encounter window opens. The Group Checkin/Create Encounter window displays all members of the Patient Group in alphabetical order.
