For example, if the reason for removing the encounter was because the appointment was checked-in in error, the appointment should have a status of Expected, not Kept. If the appointment status is not reset, the appointment continues to appear on the Kept Appointments with No Charges report.
 
 
  - Access the Patient Chart. 
 
  - Select the Clinical History/Notes tab. 
 
  - From the Topics list on the left, select Appointments. 
 
  - From the Details section on the right, select the appointment whose status is to be changed. 
 
  - Right-click and select Open from the menu. 
   
    The Edit Appointment window appears.
   
 
  - Clear or uncheck, the Appointment Kept check box. 
 
  - To save changes and close the window, select OK. 
   
    The appointment status changes from Kept to Expected.
