Creating Tasks in File Maintenance

The following tasks can be activated when processing credit card payments on the Task Types window in file maintenance: On the Auto Creation tab, you can create the active credit card on file with expire in (X) days. On the Auto Complete tab, you can create the Active card on file disabled task completion action. On the Auto Worker tab, you can create the Add collection letter of <unknown> to the account. Activate the AutoWorker Task

You can send a collection letter when the system date is after the card's expiration date and the card is expired. Open File Maintenance. Select Master Files > Task Types . The Task Types List window opens. Select open menu , and then select New. The Task Types window opens. Select the Auto Creation tab. In Task Type, enter the task type as defined by your organization. In Source Type, select Account. In the Activate column, select the Active Credit Card on file will expire in <0> days, and then right-click and select Open. The Task Type Options window opens. To select the number of days in advance that you want to be notified when an active credit card expires, select the number in the Parameter 1 field, and then select OK. Select the Auto Worker tab. Create a Credit Card Expiration Task

The purpose of the task is to notify you when an active credit card is close to its expiration date. All credit cards expire on the last day of the month for the expiration date. For example, a credit card with an expiration date of 06/2016 expires on June 30, 2016. Open File Maintenance. Select Master Files > Task Types. On the Task Types List window, select the open menu button and select New. Select the Auto Creation tab and do the following: Enter Task Type as defined by your organization. In Source, select Account. In Default Assigned To for all selected actions, select the applicable users. In the Activate column, select Active credit card on file will expire in X days. Right-click and select Open. The Task Type Options window opens. In the Parameter 1 field, enter the number of days prior to the expiration date to activate the application message and then select OK. Complete the other fields as required by your organization.
