Create an Audit Trail for CSC Events

To create an audit trail for the creation and modification of consolidated service claims, you can select the type of events that you want to track on the Significant Event Information window. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select the Admin menu, select Preferences, and then Significant Events. The Significant Event Information window opens. Select Find. Enter CSC or Encounter Field Modified in the Find What field. Significant Event Information Select the applicable significant events and then select OK. Create Tasks from the Consolidated Services Claim Report

Work log Tasks can be manually created and assigned to users in batch mode from the Consolidated Services Claim report. A task is created for each encounter listed on the report that does not already have an existing open task. Note: Tasks to be created from the report must be set up in the Tasks Types master file with Source Type = Encounter. Access NextGen® Enterprise PM. Run the Consolidated Services Claim process for one or more encounters.The Consolidated Services Claim report opens. Click the Assign Tasks button on the report toolbar. The Add Tasks from Report window opens. Select the Task Type and Assigned To users for the new tasks. Enter additional information for the tasks as needed. To save changes and close the window, click OK. One of the following prompt appears: The following prompt displays for encounters on the report that do not have an existing open task: n source(s) on this report do not have an open task of this type assigned. Set Up Tracking of Significant Events

NextGen® Enterprise tracks selected significant events for logging and auditing purposes. Selections made for significant events at the enterprise level take effect across all practices. However, you must make selections for events at the practice level for each practice. All significant events are available by default. You can view significant events in NextGen® Enterprise PM in the Significant Events report and at the account, chart, and encounter levels. You can also view reports of significant events in System Administrator and NextGen® Enterprise PM. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Admin > Preferences > Significant Events. The Significant Events Information window opens and displays a list of all significant events tracked in the application at various levels. Select the significant events you want to track. Select OK. Set Up Security Rights for Significant Events You can control access to preferences pertaining to significant events by modifying a user group's security rights.

Significant Events Preferences

The application tracks selected significant events for logging and auditing purposes. Selections made for significant events at the Enterprise level take effect across all practices. Selections for events at the Practice level must be made for each practice. All significant events are enabled by default. Significant events can be viewed in NextGen® Enterprise PM in the Significant Events report and at the account, chart, and encounter levels. Select Event Tracking with Advanced Auditing

Advanced auditing tracks the events across all NextGen® Enterprise applications. You can access the setup for Advance Auditing in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR, NextGen® Enterprise PM, NextGen® Document Management, and System Administrator. Open NextGen® Document Management. On the toolbar, select Admin, and then select Advanced Audit Setup.The Advanced Audit Setup window opens with the Events Setup tab displaying the current enterprise name. To track all events within a practice, expand the enterprise name, and then select the practice name checkbox. The significant events are categorized as enterprise, practice, and system levels. The significant events log entry generates when you perform the following actions: Export a document Import a file Import a directory Automatically import a directory Append a page to a filed document You can view the Significant Event record by generating a Significant Events report in NextGen® Enterprise PM.
