Configure Totals

The Totals configuration enables you to display the sum, average, count, and total of the data in the Claim Status report. Open the Configuration Options list and select Totals. The Totals window opens. Select a column, and then select one of the following check boxes for the column. SUM AVERAGE COUNT TOTALS You can modify the Report Total Caption. The caption appears in front of the grand total at the end of the report. The default value is TOTAL. You can also modify the Sub Total Prefix. It appears in front of the total for each grouping throughout the report. The default value is Totals for. To display the report without details, select the Total Lines Only check box. The report displays only a subtotal line for each grouping in the report, and a grand total line at the end of the report. To display the number of data records in the report, select the Counts Records check box. The number of records appears in parenthesis on the subtotal line for each grouping throughout the report,

Configure Sorting for an Enhanced Report

The Sorting configuration allows you to use columns to sort and group the data on a report. Access the Configuration Options window for the desired enhanced report. In the Configuration Options list on the left, select Sorting. The Sorting window appears. Note: The Sorting options (columns) available for selection are different on each report. Modify the Sorting options as needed for the report. Select a column, and then select one of the following check boxes for the column: Ascending: To sort numerical data from lowest to highest, and alphabetical data from A to Z. Descending: To sort numerical data from highest to lowest, and alphabetical data from Z to A. To group data on the report by a selected column, select the Group By check box. To arrange the selected columns in the desired sort order, for example primary sort, secondary sort, etc, highlight a column and then select the blue up and down arrow buttons to move the position of the column. When an enhanced report is selected from the Reports menu in NextGen® Enterprise PM, the Configuration Options window opens. The window has a different look-and-feel from the Report Filter window that opens for non-enhanced reports. Though the windows look different, their functionality is basically the same. The various Configuration Options available for the selected report are listed on the left side of the window. By default, the Columns configuration is displayed when the window first opens. From any Configuration Option listed on the left, the following buttons are available at the bottom of the window: Save Report Options: Select the button to memorize, or save, the current configuration options for the report. Refresh Report: Select the button to generate the report using the current configuration options. Close: Select the button to close the current configuration options window.
