Enhanced Reporting is enabled for select reports in NextGen® Enterprise PM from Practice Preferences > Reports. Access Practice Preferences. In the Preference List on the left, select Reports. To enable enhanced reporting, select the Use enhanced reporting with paging. In the Maximum records to display on screen field, select the maximum number of data records to display on the screen per page when an enhanced report is generated. The default value is 25. In the Enhanced Report Selection field, select or deselect the desired reports individually, or right-click and choose Select All or Deselect All from the menu. Note: If Use enhanced reporting with paging is selected, then this field is required. If no reports are selected, the following prompts displays when the OK button is selected: No enhanced report was selected. Please select at least one enhanced report. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Admin> Preferences> User Preferences> General. The User Preferences window opens. On the General tab, clear Use Enhanced Report Selection as set in Practice Preferences preference. By default, the Use Enhanced Report Selection as set in Practice Preferences preference is selected. It lists all the reports that are present in practice preference for the first time. If the user preference Use Enhanced Report Selection as set in Practice Preferences is selected, the reports display as per the selection made in the Use Enhanced Report Selection field of Practice preferences window. If the user preference Use Enhanced Report Selection as set in Practice Preferences is not selected, the reports that you select in the User Preferences window opens in Enhanced Report mode. Select the desired reports from the list of reports and select OK. If you clear the user preference Use Enhanced Report Selection as set in Practice Preferences and save, the reports displayEnable Enhanced Reports at User Level

The Header/Footer configuration enables you to format the header, footer, and last page addendum for a report. Open the Configuration Options list for or the desired enhanced report, and then select Header/Footer. In the Configuration Options list on the left, select Header/Footer. The Header/Footer window opens. Note: The Header/Footer options available for selection are the same on all reports. Modify the Header, Footer, and Addendum options as needed for the report. Do one of the following: To further customize the report, select the desired filter from theConfiguration Optionslist. To generate the report using the current configuration options, selectRefresh Report. To memorize or save the current configuration options for the report, selectSave Report Options. The Sorting configuration allows you to use columns to sort and group the data on a report. Access the Configuration Options window for the desired enhanced report. In the Configuration Options list on the left, select Sorting. The Sorting window appears. Note: The Sorting options (columns) available for selection are different on each report. Modify the Sorting options as needed for the report. Select a column, and then select one of the following check boxes for the column: Ascending: To sort numerical data from lowest to highest, and alphabetical data from A to Z. Descending: To sort numerical data from highest to lowest, and alphabetical data from Z to A. To group data on the report by a selected column, select the Group By check box. To arrange the selected columns in the desired sort order, for example primary sort, secondary sort, etc, highlight a column and then select the blue up and down arrow buttons to move the position of the column. The Columns configuration allows you to select the desired columns and display order for data on a report. Access the Configuration Options window for the desired enhanced report. In the Configuration Options list on the left, select Columns. The Columns window appears. Note: The columns available for selection are different on each report. Modify the Columns as needed for the report. To add or remove columns, do the following: Select the check box to the left of the Column Name to select or deselect the desired columns individually. Right-click in the Column Name column and choose Select All or Deselect All from the menu. To locate a specific column in the list, enter all or part of the Column Name or Description in the Find field at the top of the window. The first column matching the entered text is automatically highlighted. Select Enter or select the right arrow button to locate the next column matching the entered text. The Filter 2 configuration allows you to use columns as additional filter criteria for narrowing down the data on a report. Data must match all the defined criteria to appear on the report. Access the Configuration Options window for the desired enhanced report. In the Configuration Options list on the left, select Filter 2. The Filter 2 window appears. Note: The Filter 2 options (columns) available for selection are different on each report. Modify the Filter 2 options as needed for the report. Select a column, then select one of the following for the column, and then enter the specific free-text criteria for the column. For example, Zip equals 19044. Between Equals Not Equals Greater Than Less Than Like When finished, do one of the following: To configure additional filters for the report, select the desired Configuration Options on the left.
