Report Toolbar for Enhanced Reports

After an enhanced report generates and appears on screen, a report toolbar displays across the top of the report window. The toolbar buttons can be used to perform a variety of actions and functions when working with an enhanced report in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Enable Enhanced Reports at User Level

In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Admin> Preferences> User Preferences> General. The User Preferences window opens. On the General tab, clear Use Enhanced Report Selection as set in Practice Preferences preference. By default, the Use Enhanced Report Selection as set in Practice Preferences preference is selected. It lists all the reports that are present in practice preference for the first time. If the user preference Use Enhanced Report Selection as set in Practice Preferences is selected, the reports display as per the selection made in the Use Enhanced Report Selection field of Practice preferences window. If the user preference Use Enhanced Report Selection as set in Practice Preferences is not selected, the reports that you select in the User Preferences window opens in Enhanced Report mode. Select the desired reports from the list of reports and select OK. If you clear the user preference Use Enhanced Report Selection as set in Practice Preferences and save, the reports display

Configuration Options for Enhanced Reports

When an enhanced report is selected from the Reports menu in NextGen® Enterprise PM, the Configuration Options window opens. The window has a different look-and-feel from the Report Filter window that opens for non-enhanced reports. Though the windows look different, their functionality is basically the same. The various Configuration Options available for the selected report are listed on the left side of the window. By default, the Columns configuration is displayed when the window first opens. From any Configuration Option listed on the left, the following buttons are available at the bottom of the window: Save Report Options: Select the button to memorize, or save, the current configuration options for the report. Refresh Report: Select the button to generate the report using the current configuration options. Close: Select the button to close the current configuration options window. Enhanced Reports in NextGen® Enterprise PM

An Enhanced Reporting feature can be enabled to improve the system performance for specific reports in NextGen® Enterprise PM. These are reports that are typically database intensive when they are generated due to the large amount of data being reported. When enabled, a new user interface and paging mechanism is utilized that allows these reports to be generated, viewed, printed and exported in a timelier manner. Enhanced Reporting Indicators

From the Reports menu in NextGen® Enterprise PM, an asterisk (*) at the end of a report name indicates Enhanced Reporting has been enabled for the report. In addition, when an enhanced report is selected from the menu, the title bar at the top of the desktop in NextGen® Enterprise PM indicates Enhanced Report Mode. Threshold Tracking Report

The Threshold Tracking report in NextGen® Enterprise PM provides information about patient encounters linked to programs that have payer-specific threshold rules defined in File Maintenance. You can use the report to review and monitor patients with or without encounters during a specified date range to determine whether they have met the payer's threshold requirements and are ready for billing. For example, in a Behavioral Health practice, a payer may require that patients in a specific program have a minimum number of addiction counseling hours per week, or a minimum number of therapy units per month before billing the payer for those services. This encounter-based report is available only if the Enable Programs option is selected in Practice Preferences > Programs. The report has drill-down functionality that enables you to double-click an encounter to access the Patient Chart > Encounters tab directly from the report.
