Add and Send Encounter Notes

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart, and then in Patient Lookup, enter your search criteria, and then select Find. Matching people and patient records appear in the search results. In Matching Records, select a patient record , and then select Open. The Patient Information tab opens in the Patient Chart window. Select the Encounters tab, select the Notes tab, and then select an encounter. All notes associated with the selected encounter appear. Select the open menu icon next to Encounter Notes, select New, and then in Patient Notes, enter the necessary information, and then select OK. Note: You can select the Seal Note checkbox to lock the note information. The pushpin icon appears next to the encounter representing that the note is added. To send an encounter note, in Encounter Notes, right-click a note, select Attach to Mail, enter the recipient and other necessary information, and then select Send Message. Note: You can print, fax, and delete the note info

Add and Print Patient Photos

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart, and then in Patient Lookup, enter your search criteria, and then select Find. Matching people and patient records appear in the search results. In Matching Records, select a patient record , and then select Open. The Patient Information tab opens in the Patient Chart window. Select the Chart Details tab, select the open menu icon next to patients profile picture, select New. You can add your patient photo from the Update Patient Information window by right-clicking on the picture placeholder, and then selecting New. In the Scanning Device Input window, select the open menu icon. To scan an image from a physical photograph, place the patient's photo on the scanner, select Acquire, and then select Ok. You can crop, delete, copy, and print the scanned images. The image appears Patient Information Bar. To take a digital image, select Capture, adjust the preview, if needed, select Capture, and then select Ok. The image appears

Add Patient Information to a Patient Chart

You can update patient demographics, contact, and relationship details. A relationship refers to any individual who is connected to a patient and using the patient's insurance to cover charges. Relationships are enterprise-wide. When a relationship is created in a different practice, the relationship automatically appears when you create a chart in your practice. Register Patients in Programs

Before you begin The Enable Programs checkbox must be selected on the Programs tab of Practice Preferences in File Maintenance. The setting provides access to the Programs tab in the patient chart. You can enroll your patients in various programs offered by your practice, including care management, rehabilitation, and recovery. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart, and then in Patient Lookup, enter your search criteria, and then select Find. Matching people and patient records appear in the search results. In Matching Records, select a patient record , and then select Open. The Patient Information tab opens in the Patient Chart window. Select the Programs tab, select the open menu icon, and then select New. In the Program Enrollment window, select a program, category, primary provider, location, enrollment date, and discharge date, and then select OK. Create Rentals for Patients

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart or Chart Lookup.. The Patient Lookup window opens. In the Search Criteria section, enter the patient's information, and select Find. Patient records that match the search criteria, appear in the Matching Records section. Select the patient, and then select Open. The Patient Chart window opens. Under Patient Information, select Rental Information, and then select the open menu Select New. The Rental Information window opens. To select the SIM code for the rental, in Rental Devices, select open folder Open Folder icon and select the SIM code you want to apply to the rental. The SIM code appears in the Rental Devices section. Enter the serial number of the rental device in Serial Number(s). Select the Rental Limit tracking frequency from the following: Enter the time frame, return date, and next billing date in the Rental Limit Tracking. Enter Recurring Rental Charges

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Charges. The Charge Posting window opens. Select the desired patient and the In Progress encounter. Select New. Select the Recurring Rental Billing icon on the Charge Posting toolbar. The Rental Information Listing window opens. To add a rental, select New. The Rental Information window opens. Note: For new rentals, select New. If it is a new encounter in an existing series, select the appropriate rental record from the list. In the Rental Devices section, select Open Record and then select the SIM code you want to apply to the rental. Select Serial Number(s), and then enter the serial number of the rental device. In the Rental Limit Tracking section, enter the time frame information, next billing date, and equipment return date. Select Rendering, and then select the rendering physician from the list.
