Open Previous Patient Records

When working with multiple patients, you can access a recently accessed patient chart without performing a chart lookup. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart or Chart Lookup Chart Lookup icon. The Patient Lookup window opens. In the Search Criteria section, enter the patient's information, and then select Find. Patient records that match the search criteria appear in the Matching Records section. Select the patient, and then select Open. The Patient Chart window opens. Select open menu Open Menu icon and select Access Previous Patient. The most recently opened patient chart list appears. Select the patient record you want to open from the list. Modify Patient Information

You can modify and update the demographic information in a patient chart. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart or Chart Lookup Chart Lookup icon. The Patient Lookup window opens. In the Search Criteria section, enter the patient's information, and select Find. Patient records that match the search criteria, appear in the Matching Records section. Select the patient, and then select Open. The patient chart opens. In the Patient Information tab, select the Demographics tab and then select open folder Open Folder icon next to Name. The Modify Patient Information window opens. Update the desired fields. Set Active Patients

Set Active Patients Set Active Patients In NextGen® Enterprise PM, do the following to open the patient chart: Select Tasks > Lookup > Charts Use the search criteria and find the patient. Double-click the patient with indicator. The chart of the selected patient opens. Select open menu next to the patient's name on the patient's chart and then select Set Active Patient. The patient is set the current active patient. Note: The Active Patient indicator appears on the status bar on the NextGen® Enterprise PMdesktop. Select the open menu icon next to the patient's name, and then select Set Active Patient.The patient is set as the current active patient. Note: The Active Patient indicator appears on the status bar on the NextGen® Enterprise PM desktop. You can hover over the Active Patient indicator to view the active patient's name. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart, and then in Patient Lookup, enter your search criteria, and then select Find. Matching people and patient records appear in the search results. In Matching Records, select a patient record , and then select Open. The Patient Information tab opens in the Patient Chart window. On Patient Information Bar, select the open menu icon next to the patient name, select Access Previous Patient, and then select the necessary patient. The selected patient chart opens. Optional: To set the patient account as active, on Patient Information Bar, select the open menu icon next to the patient name, and then select Set Active Patient.
