Create Cost Estimation Forms in File Maintenance

If you are the administrator, you can add or remove placeholders in the form template for cost estimation. You can also specify if the form requires electronic signature. In File Maintenance, select Master Files > Systems > Forms Enhanced. The Forms Enhanced window opens. Select or create a form for cost estimation. The form template opens. Expand Pre-Service/Estimate Information to view the Pre-Service fields. On the draft form template, place your cursor where you want to add a placeholder, and double-click a Pre-Service/Estimate Information field in the right pane. The placeholder appears in the form template. Note: The data for the form is sourced from the Estimate Patient Cost window. For an electronically signed cost estimation form, select the Required Esignature option in the Esignature Options section. Save your changes. Print Cost Estimation Forms

Before you begin Ensure that your administrator has customized the cost estimation form template in File Maintenance. There are many ways in which you can initiate the printing of the cost estimation form. Do one of the following to initiate the printing of a cost estimation form. To print Action Cost estimation form from the current cost estimation (without electronic signature) On the Estimate Patient Cost window, specify and submit the data for cost estimation. Select Print. NGERTS- 4593 -> NGERTS-6300Cost estimation form of the latest cost estimation for a specific encounter from the Encounter Lookup window (without electronic signature) Open the Encounter Lookup window. Use the search criteria to find the desired encounter. Right-click the encounter, and select Print > Forms. Archive Electronically Signed Cost Estimation Forms

After capturing the electronic signature on the cost estimation form, close the form toolbar. A message appears to confirm that you want to archive the signed document. Note: You can archive forms that contain at least one electronic signature. The message does not appear if there are no electronic signatures on the form. Select Yes. Pay and Print Options for Cost Estimation

The Estimate Patient Cost window enables you to: Make payments for the services submitted for cost estimation even before starting treatment. Print the cost estimate. Make Pre-Services Payment You can set an active batch and make the payment for the estimated services from the Estimate Patient Cost window. Printing Estimated Patient Cost You can print the cost estimate form in the format created in Form Enhanced. You can also print a cost estimate form that has been electronically signed and archived. Forms and Labels

Forms and Labels can be created in File Maintenance and then printed for an individual patient, or for multiple patients in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Any type of form that is used by a practice can be created in the Forms master file, or the Forms Enhanced master file. Some forms may be used to gather information from a patient, such as an intake form. Other forms may be used to provide information to a patient or to their insurance provider. Each form is created using a combination of free-text verbiage for static information on the form, and data fields that are automatically populated with patient-specific information when the form is printed. Labels that are used by a practice can be created in the Label Templates master file. Examples include mailing labels, chart labels and specimen labels. Pre-Services Cost Estimation

NextGen® Enterprise PM offers a pre-service solution that offers clear estimation for planned or completed services. You can perform patient cost estimation if you have administrator privileges to perform administration tasks for the practice. The cost estimation feature enables you to: Obtain a breakdown of financial responsibilities between the patient and insurance provider. Inform the patient about the amount payable by the patient before or after using the services and the amount that will be settled by the insurance provider. Collect timely payments from the person or patient. Print cost estimation results in customized formats. Keep plain text notes for the estimation. Associate diagnosis code for the estimation.
