Open Previous Patient Records
When working with multiple patients, you can access a recently accessed patient chart without performing a chart lookup. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart or Chart Lookup Chart Lookup icon. The Patient Lookup window opens. In the Search Criteria section, enter the patient's information, and then select Find. Patient records that match the search criteria appear in the Matching Records section. Select the patient, and then select Open. The Patient Chart window opens. Select open menu Open Menu icon and select Access Previous Patient. The most recently opened patient chart list appears. Select the patient record you want to open from the list. Add Patient Photos to Charts
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart or Chart Lookup Chart Lookup icon. The Patient Lookup window opens. In the Search Criteria section, enter the patient's information, and then select Find. Patient records that match the search criteria appear in the Matching Records section. Select the patient, and then select Open. The Patient Chart window opens. In the Chart Details tab, under Patient Picture, select open menu Open Menu icon and then select New to scan a new photograph, or Open to edit the current photograph. The Scanning Device Input window opens. Scanning Device Input Window Place the patient's driver's license or ID card on the scanner and adjust the scan guide to fit the original. Under Front, select open record and then select Acquire. The scanned image appears in the Image window. Note: The image in the Selected Segment box appears in the Demographics tab. Modify Patient Information
You can modify and update the demographic information in a patient chart. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart or Chart Lookup Chart Lookup icon. The Patient Lookup window opens. In the Search Criteria section, enter the patient's information, and select Find. Patient records that match the search criteria, appear in the Matching Records section. Select the patient, and then select Open. The patient chart opens. In the Patient Information tab, select the Demographics tab and then select open folder Open Folder icon next to Name. The Modify Patient Information window opens. Update the desired fields. Set Active Patient Status for Patients
A patient set as the active patient remains in recall when you work with other patient charts and is available for quick access. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart or Chart Lookup Chart Lookup icon. The Patient Lookup window opens. In the Search Criteria section, enter the patient's information, and then select Find. Patient records that match the search criteria appear in the Matching Records section. Select the patient, and then select Open. The Patient Chart window opens. Add and Print Patient Photos
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart, and then in Patient Lookup, enter your search criteria, and then select Find. Matching people and patient records appear in the search results. In Matching Records, select a patient record , and then select Open. The Patient Information tab opens in the Patient Chart window. Select the Chart Details tab, select the open menu icon next to patients profile picture, select New. You can add your patient photo from the Update Patient Information window by right-clicking on the picture placeholder, and then selecting New. In the Scanning Device Input window, select the open menu icon. To scan an image from a physical photograph, place the patient's photo on the scanner, select Acquire, and then select Ok. You can crop, delete, copy, and print the scanned images. The image appears Patient Information Bar. To take a digital image, select Capture, adjust the preview, if needed, select Capture, and then select Ok. The image appears

Print a Patient Data Sheet from the Patient Chart
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Tasks > Lookup > Charts from the main menu bar or select ChartNull. The Patient Lookup window appears. Search and select the desired patient and open the patient chart. Select the Encounters tab, and then select the desired encounter. Right-click and select Print, and then select either Patient Data Sheet or Patient Data Sheet Detail. The Patient Data Sheet preview window opens. Note: You can also fax the Patient Data Sheet or Patient Data Sheet Detail by selecting Fax icon from the print preview toolbar. To print the form to the default printer, select the Quick Print button on the toolbar. Note: The default printer for Patient Data Sheets is defined in Practice Preferences > Printing. If the user has specified a different printer in their General User Preferences > Printing, it overrides the printer defined in Practice Preferences.
