You can generate and print an Itemized Statement on demand from the Patient Chart > Financial tab. This statement include all encounters for the patient or only specific encounters based on selected filter criteria.
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
On the main toolbar, select Chart or Chart Lookup .
The Patient Lookup window opens.
In the Search Criteria section, enter the patient's information, and then select Find.
Patient records that match the search criteria appear in the Matching Records section.
Select the patient, and then select Open.
The Patient Chart window opens.
Select the Financial tab.
All encounters for the patient are listed in the Financial Information section.
To generate a statement, do one of the following:
To generate a statement that includes all encounters for the patient, select Print.
To generate a statement that includes only specific encounters, filter the encounters on the Financial tab, and then select Print.
The Itemized Statement preview window opens.
To print the statement, on the toolbar do one of the following:
To select a printer, page range or number of copies for the statement, select Print Dialog .
To use the default printer for the statement, select Quick Print .
Note: The default printer for statements is defined in Printing in Practice Preferences. If the user has specified a different printer in Printing in the General User Preferences, it overrides the printer defined in Practice Preferences.
To close the Itemized Statement preview window, select Close Preview on the toolbar.
An Itemized Statement Printed Chart significant event is recorded on the Chart folder from the History topic of the Clinical History/Notes tab in the Patient Chart.
Note: An Itemized Statement Printed Chart significant event is recorded only if a significant event is configured in the Significant Events Information window.
