Generate and Print Patient Statements
- Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
- On the main toolbar, select Chart, and then in Patient Lookup, enter your search criteria, and then select Find.
Matching people and patient records appear in the search results.
- In Matching Records, select a patient record
, and then select Open.
The Patient Information tab opens in the Patient Chart window. - Select the Financial tab.
All patient encounters with payment details from primary, secondary, or tertiary insurance appear.
- To generate a statement, do one of the following:
- To generate the statement with all encounters, select Print.
- To generate the statement with specific encounters, select Filter, enter your search criteria, select Search, and then select Print.
The Itemized Statement preview window opens. - To print the statement, do one of the following:
- To select a printer, and page range or number of copies for the statement, select Print Dialog
.
- To use the default printer, select Quick Print
.
Note: Your system administrator can configure the default printer in Printing in Practice Preferences. Configuring a specific printer in Printing in the General > User Preferences can override the default printer. - To select a printer, and page range or number of copies for the statement, select Print Dialog
- On the toolbar, select Close Preview
.
The Itemized Statement Printed Chart significant event is recorded in Patient Chart > Clinical History/Notes > History > Chart.Note: The Itemized Statement Printed Chart significant event is recorded only if a significant event is configured in the Significant Events Information window. - To print the patient fee tickets, right-click an encounter, and then select Print > Fee Tickets, and then select Print.
A message notifies you that the fee ticket printing is in progress.
