Print an Itemized Bill from the Patient Chart
An Encounter Bill can be printed for a patient from their chart.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
- Select Chart.
The Patient Lookup window opens.
- Select the desired patient, and then select Open.
The Patient Chart opens for the desired patient.
- Select the Encounters tab.
- Select the encounter.
- Do one of the following:
- Right-click the encounter, select Print, and then select Encounter Bill.
- From the Tasks menu, select Demand, and then select Demand Itemized Bill.
The Itemized Bill for Encounter window opens. - Review the default Itemized Bill Options and make modifications, if needed.
Note: The default settings are from Practice Preferences > Itemized Bills.
- Select Preview to preview the encounter bill on the window prior to printing.
- Select Print to print the encounter bill.
The encounter bill is automatically sent to the printer defined in Practice Preferences > Printing. If the user has specified a different printer in their General User Preferences > Printing, it overrides the printer defined in Practice Preferences.
