Add or Update Recall Plans from Reports

Recall Plans for patients can be added or updated in batch mode from the following reports in NextGen® Enterprise PM:

  • General > Patient Recall
  • General > Patient Chart Demographics
  • General > Patient Chart Demographics with Providers
  • Daily > Charges
  • Daily > Charges By Current User
Patients listed on the report that do not have an active recall of the selected type will get a new recall plan added. Patients listed on the report that do have an active recall of the selected type will get their existing recall plan updated.
  1. From the Reports menu, select one of the above reports.
    The Report Filter window opens.
  2. Filter the report to include the desired patient population and select OK.
    The Report Preview window opens.
  3. On the report toolbar, select the New Recall Plan button.
    If the report includes patients from multiple practices, the following prompt displays: Recall Plans cannot be assigned to patients in other practices. Please run this report again for this practice only.

  4. Select OK.
    The Recall Plan Maintenance window opens.
  5. Select the Recall Plan to be added/updated for all patients on the report.
  6. Complete the Return Date, Last Date, Event, Resource, Location, and Note fields as needed.
  7. To save changes and close the window, select OK.
  8. The following prompt displays when all patients listed on the report do not already have an existing active recall of the selected type:[n] source(s) on this report do not have an active recall plan of [Recall Plan Name] assigned. Confirm mass assignment of [Recall Plan Name] for [n] source(s)?

    The following prompt displays when some patients listed on the report already have an existing active recall of the selected type, but others do not: [n] source(s) on this report have an active recall plan of [Recall Plan Name] assigned. [n] source(s) on this report do not have an active recall plan of {Recall Plan Name] assigned. Confirm mass assignment of [Recall Plan Name] for [n] source(s) and [n] source(s) will have their plans updated with [Recall Plan Name]?

    The following prompt displays when all patients listed on the report already have an existing active recall of the selected type:[n] source(s) on this report have an active recall plan of [Recall Plan Name] assigned. Confirm mass update of [Recall Plan Name] for [n] source(s)?

  9. To add/update recall plans for patients listed on the report, select Yes.
