Select an insurance from one of the following: Modify Patient Information window. On the Insurance sub-tab under the Encounters tab in Patient Chart . Encounter Insurance Selection window. Do one of the following: Select Open Menu and then select Open Insurance Information. Right-click and then select Open Insurance Information. The Insurance Maintenance window opens. Access the Modify Patient Information window. In the Available Insurance section, select an insurance. Do one of the following: select Open Menu and then select Authorization. Access the Patient Chart. Select the Patient Information tab and then the Case Management sub-tab. Select and open a case. The Case Management window opens. Select the Financial tab. In the Payers for this Case section, select an insurance. Do one of the following: Select Open Menu and then select Authorizations. Right-click and then select Authorizations. Service Unit Authorizations
When a payer authorizes a service package with unit limitations for a patient, and those packaged services may be rendered within a date range defined by the payer, you can enter the authorization in NextGen® Enterprise PM as a Service Unit Authorization. Note: Service Unit Authorizations are available only if a Service Package Library is selected in Practice Preferences > Libraries.
