Access the
Patient Chart
.
Select the
Patient Information
tab and then the
Case Management
sub-tab.
Select and open a case.
The
Case Management
window opens.
Select the
Financial
tab.
In the
Payers for this Case
section, select an insurance.
Do one of the following:
Select
Open Menu
and then select
Authorizations
.
Right-click and then select
Authorizations
.
The
Authorization Listing
window opens.

Access Authorization from Insurance Sub-Tab
Access the Patient Chart. Select the Encounters tab. From the Encounters list, select an encounter. Select the Insurance sub-tab. In the Encounter Insurance section, select an insurance. Do one of the following: Select Open Menu and then select Authorization. Right-click and then select Authorization. The Authorization Listing window opens. Access Authorization from Insurance Maintenance Window
Select an insurance from one of the following: Modify Patient Information window. On the Insurance sub-tab under the Encounters tab in Patient Chart . Encounter Insurance Selection window. Do one of the following: Select Open Menu and then select Open Insurance Information. Right-click and then select Open Insurance Information. The Insurance Maintenance window opens. Attach Authorizations to a Case
Access an existing case and select the Financial tab. Right-click on the payer and select Authorizations from the shortcut menu. Note: If a payer is not attached to the case, you must attach one. Authorization Listing window opens. Select the open menu icon and then select New. The Authorization Code Tracking window opens. Complete the following authorization fields as needed: Authorization Code Effective Date Expiration Date Nbr Encounters - Complete this field to ensure the authorization is attached to an encounter associated with the case.
