When you select a list type from the List Launcher, the associated list icons display in the desktop area. The List Launcher contains the following list types:
- Code Tables: Contains preloaded and predefined data required for submitting claims. These data elements are stored in lists that consist of codes and their associated descriptions.
- Libraries: Some code sets in Libraries are used during claims submission. For example, the codes in Claim Printing provide NextGen Enterprise instructions for printing HCFA-1500, UB, and ADA claims.
- Master Files: Contains data that is shared across all enterprises (System Master Files) or that is shared only at the practice level (Practice Master Files). Information in Master Files is used for billing and collections, maintaining patient records, and tracking practice-specific information.
- Master Lists: Defines the data items to use for billing and collections, maintaining patient records, and tracking practice-specific information.
When you select a list icon, the associated list displays in a List access window. For example, if you select the Code Tables icon, the Code Tables List window opens.
To comply with Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (CCDA R2.1), the Allergy Criticality code table has been added in File Maintenance. This code table displays HighLow, and Unable to Assess values.
