Update Stored Procedure and Style Sheet

You can update the stored procedure and style sheet for an existing specialty associated with an encounter. Open File Maintenance. Under Master Files, select EHR, and then select Encounter Summary Appearance. The EHR Encounter Summary Appearance window opens. Select the available specialty and the stored procedure for the available specialty, and then select Edit. The Edit <Specialty> for a specialty opens. Note: If you select the Display no data check box, the data from stored procedure and style sheet for a specialty do not appear in the encounter details of NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a specialty from the available list. Select a stored procedure from the available list for the selected specialty. Select a style sheet from the available list for the selected specialty. Select Save. The stored procedure and style sheet are set for a specialty for the Encounter History tab. Add Stored Procedure and Style Sheet

Note: If you select the Display no data check box, the data from stored procedure and style sheet for a specialty do not appear in the encounter details of NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a specialty from the available list. Select a stored procedure from the available list for the selected specialty. Select a style sheet from the available list for the selected specialty. Select Save. The stored procedure and style sheet are set for a specialty for the Encounter History tab. Remove Stored Procedure and Style Sheet

You can remove the existing specialty along with the stored procedure and style sheet linked for an encounter summary. Open File Maintenance. Under Master Files, select EHR, and then select Encounter Summary Appearance. The EHR Encounter Summary Appearance window opens. Select a specialty that you want to delete, and select Remove. The specialty, along with the associated stored procedure and style sheet, is deleted from the EHR Encounter Summary Appearance window. Parent topic: Configuring Patient Encounter Summary

Configuring Patient Encounter Summary

The Encounter Summary Appearance master file enables you to configure the stored procedures and style sheets that are used to display data for a given specialty appearing in the encounter summary on the Encounter History tab. Note: If the stored procedure and style sheet are not configured on the Encounter Summary Appearance window, the default setting applies to all specialties. Sort Orders Summary Grid Columns

You can sort the Orders Summary grid by a particular column. You can also sort each column in the grid in descending or ascending alphanumeric order. To select the column to sort the grid by, select the column header. To switch between descending and ascending order in a column, select the header, and then select the up or down arrow that appears on the right side. Sort the Encounter Lookup Results

The default sort in the Encounter List section of the Encounter Lookup window is by encounter number in descending order. To change the sort, select any column header. An up arrow icon displays to the left of the column name, indicating the lookup results are now sorted by that column in ascending order. To sort by the same column in descending order, select the column header again. A down arrow icon displays to the left of the column name, indicating the lookup results are now sorted by that column in descending order. Note: Once the window is closed, the default sort by Enc Nbr in descending order is used the next time the window is accessed. Parent topic: Search from the Encounter Lookup Window
